How come the model show "Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus"? Not Redmi Note 5?

I am using this app :

https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.yas.freeSmsForwarder&hl=en_SG

It allows me to forward any SMS received on a phone to another phone number or sent out to an email. It was working fine till I change my wife's phone from Redmi Note 4 to Redmi Note 5. Now the SMS-es doesn't get forwarded out until I open the app on the Redmi Note 5.

Anybody encounter similar issue? Any solution?

I already did all that liao. I have been using Xiaom phone for about 3yrs liao, so already know what to do. But seems to still got problem.

Rwm only has black version left in store.. Now I might just buy from jtbc...

Anybody know if jtbc china rom can be flashed to global one?

If you want to save the hassle of flashing, can consider this Hitec one. Can self collect at their Bugis Junction outlet.

If you use Shopback, can get cashback too.

Their price is very tempting but they hardly reply msg. Dont know trust worthy or not

Just came back from rwm. They sold out all the note 5 both 3gb and 4gb version liao. I asked when will the next batches coming, they say not sure. :sad:
