im expecting import premiums to be 20-30$ higher. 320$ for a redmi note 5 pro 4/64 and i straight preorder liao

Yeah, it's been said that the Redmi Note 5 Pro will be called as the Redmi Note 5 (红米Note 5) in China.

Other markets(such as Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore etc.) should also be called as the Redmi Note 5 if the market also offer the Redmi 5 Plus.

I just hate the different names of the same phone, it can be confusing ...

just checked youtube videos from india , the normal (snapdragon 625) and pro (snap 636)
both nano-sim ... cannot put micro-sim

so the last xiaomi range compatible with microsim are RMN4 and MM2

The Mi Note 3 has the SD660, which is slightly more powerful than the SD636, is much shorter (it has a 16:9 display), has a USB-C port and has a superior camera (by all accounts). Why GSM Arena refuses to review it, despite the frequent requests, is surprising. It's a very under-rated phone.

If price difference between RN5-Pro & Mi Note 3 is $80 or less, would you buy the Mi Note 3 (a superior phone in all areas, but without sdcard & headphone jack)?
