Hello

My MiTV 4S 65 is loosing HDMI ARC connection to my soundbar JBL SB130 when the sound bar goes to sleep (after 10min with no sound) and it switches back to the built in speaker. Switching on the TV or changing the HDMI input (not necessarily to the HDMI ARC, any HDMI input change will do) correctly wakes up the sound bar.

Is there a way I can force the TV to keep the sound on the HDMI ARC? Or avoid the sound bar going to sleep (like the white noise thing on the nvidia shield).

Try contacting Xiaomi support service and they pointed me to their phones user manuals (...) Then told me they can only support overseas user. Not sure I was talking to the right person.

Tried contacting the JBL support and they confirm the issue is with the TV as the signal to wake up the sound bard comes from the TV and confirm they can't deactivate the auto sleep mode.

Some more details of my tests below :

The soundbar is working fine (on HDMI 2 ARC) and waking up fine when the TV is switched on. So the ARC and CEC is working fine here.

But when the soundbar is sleeping the TV is losing the HDMI connection (it switches back to the TV internal speaker) and not able to reconnect and wakes the sound board on.

If I wake up the sound bar manually, then the TV will automatically connect the soundbar to the TV (on HDMI 2 ARC).

If I try to switch channel (for example to the PC on HDMI 1) then the TV will find back the soundbar (on HDMI 2 ARC), wake it up and connect to it automatically.

Thanks

Romain

I received my 55 inch 4s from qoo10 minihelper which order on 12/12 sales, check with the seller prior placing order and they confirmed it is the global set which has netflix pre-installed. but end up it turn out to be a russian set (L55M5-5ARU) + Mi-Stick combo instead of (L55M5-5ASP).
Called the shop number on the qoo10 page but the guys said he is just the importer of xiaomi TV from funan center and not the seller in qoo10, He told me that the L55M5-5ASP stopped production worldwide and there is no more stock on the market, he pursuit me to accept the rusisian set + mi stick combo and said it is a better combination than the L55M5-5ASP alone. On top of that, he mentioned that if i do not happy with the combo, they can only do refund if i bring it back to the IMM store. I have feel being smoke to accept the russian set combo instead... is there any bro out there receiving his tv and having the similar situation like me and what is your take? TIA
I ordered the same product. They gave me L55M5-5XIN (India 4X set) + DVB T2 box. At least yours still have DVB T2. They gave me a completely different model which does not even have DVB T2. Very angry now.

Damn same here the only difference is that I bought mine from shopee but same seller. I even checked their review and they were all 4S.

The UI also seems different from the UI of 4S.

How are you going to go about it? Getting refund from the seller or just suck thumb?

Mine was from that Shopee seller as well. Waited 1 whole month for different item. Take them to small claims.

All the PI sellers are like that. Just wanna take your money and push it to you whatever they have.....not what you want or what was promised to you.

You shouldn't have accepted the item. Not sure how good the shopee return policy. Reject your item and ask for refund. Engage Shoppe customer service.

I just received my 55inch tv too. Got it from Shoppee.
4X model. Actually serves my needs better. Same as 4S got 4K YouTube, 4K Netflix, 4K prime videos all built in.
My other 4S model I had gotten previously cannot use MeWatch cos had to set to Spain region. But this ok la.
Actually the tv is same 4K, so far i didnt find any major difference from my old TV. Loading time is smooth as well.
Only thing the power plug is abit shorter, other than that works well for me.

I bought the 4S specifically for the DVB-T2 to avoid the garbage that is MeWatch. Receiving a 4X completely defeats the purpose of this new TV.

I don't get it... meaning ?

the 4X cannot watch live TV on DVB-T2 ? So have to watch via internet or via a DVB-T2 receiver box ?

Precisely! But unfortunately we received India set which do not have DVB-T2 and thats why seller provided us with DVB-T2 box.

Looks like it may be better to pay a bit more to get from official resellers instead since they would likely more inclined to play ball? Possible to reject TV if it wasn't as specified? Should be right? Cos your invoice says 4S but you receive 4X...

4X has no DVB-T2 capability. Seller included a DVB-T2 box that costs $10. Need 2 remotes to watch simple TV.

That's bad ! I thought Singapore cannot sell TV without DVB-T2 ? I remember after certain date, seller cannot sell already.

Those boxes are not reliable. I also have one for my old TV. Sometimes, the colour change for no reason and for a long time before it becomes ok. Good thing about those boxes are they can record TV programs.

Do you have source for this? I'm considering taking them to small claims for breach of contract.

you have only one box. it is not reliable. therefore billions of boxes in the world are not reliable.

good logic.

luckily you are not a doctor.

I'm not referring to those box that they give you. I'm referring to my box I bought on my own last time. :)

Breach ? Is the item they sent you the same as the one they advertise ? If not, already breach what...

It's definitely breach, just looking for more things to add in. If you have source that the model they are selling is illegal it's even better.
