just got a Mi4s and wondering how do you guys install the google play onto the phone? i see that with Miu7, its like a total different animal.. tried to follow technobuzz website insx but doesnt work.

anyone has an insight will be much appreciated.

Planning to get one of the Xiaomi phones for my mum, 'cos it seems very cheap for a brand new smartphone.

She'll probably just be texting & maybe surfing Facebook.


Which model should I get for her? Do I just buy it online?

The Xiaomi rednote 2 or 3 is free with a low cost data plan, at least with M1.

Set up your phone at home with Wi-Fi ready. It will start downloading apps once Wi-Fi is connected. I assume you bought the phone from Xiaomi Singapore or the telcos.

Did you guys notice mi is officially selling MI note in Singapore for something $500, while Singtel is selling the same set under combo 2 for $38? Wonder why Singtel selling so cheap, it is a nice phone with curved glass looks like iPhone.

Hi looking for some advice.
Brought a new MI note 3 from M1.
Last night accidentally drop into toilet bow. I fished it up very quickly and off the phone and letting it dry naturally.
After drying relief phone working, camera media etc working.
But now my screen bottom half corner the display like brighter in a bleeding way. Should I send it for repair?
All should know water damaged phone 90% buang

no nothing now except for the red light when i charged it, nothing comes out even if i do anything to it.

any solutions to power this up?

You are paying the phone cost thru your subscription. Just like doing a installation. So nobody actually know what is te real cost of phone and subscription plan. I failed to understand why CASE never insist telco breakdown the price detail.

Try. Hold down power n volume up button in off state till (if) u see the mi logo don let go. Hold it down the volume up n power button. n after a while it goes into the recovery option where u are prompt to select language options.

Once done. Choose clear cache. Just clear cache n reboot see if it works.

This solution can be applied to " happy" issue. Could be the firmware got corrupted due to some memory hiccups. Or accidentally erased.
