Yea. The old type is suction cup. That new one the holder also use the same but instead of suction they replace with double side tape. That means they replace the transparent suction thing to double side tape.

It is heat tolerant, even under afternoon sun also no issue.

The complaints about heat, that I saw, was not that it hanged or quit, it is that the focus was affected. Suspected due to tiny deflections due to thermal expansion of optical parts.

Maybe the loss of focus can only be noticed when you playback on on a full resolution display.

Ok will try it this wkend, as currently my car already has an existing wiring for the old camera which is not micro usb, hence wanted to find someone who knows how to replace the existing cable haha
