remember it is selling at less than $30, and it can achieve a few hundreds Mbps between its wireless clients.

many have subscribed to BB plans of more than 100Mbps. But I seldom come across overseas sites that give me more than 50Mbps.

What are the sites you normally use that give you more than 100Mbps and what are the speed achieved?

Steam, Torrents, Apple etc.

I can understand having a device with a limited 10/100 ethernet port depending on what the device does (android TV box etc). More than enough for its uses.

If you are on a plan > 100Mbps, having a router limited to 10/100 is just stupid.

ii bought a xiaomi router the one without the build in Hard disk.

question is do i connect the xiaomi router to fiber modem or to my singtel 2 wire modem or connect the cable from fiber model to xiaomi modem. so far i tried all 3 and only way to have internet access is to connect to my singtel 2wire modem. but the download speed was half slower than the original singtel modem. but the download speed was 1x faster .

So both the routers (mifi and mainstream one with built in HDDs) don't support gigabit LAN and WAN ports right? So it's not really usable on 1Gbps fibre plans?

Based on MI mni WiFi router - English GUI? - Mi Gadgets - Xiaomi MIUI Official Forum it seems that it should be already inside the router firmware for english option.

Now only wonder should I buy from Taobao or Qoo10. Price wise is about the same.

Taobao @ RMB129 and assuming shipping fees of RMB43 from 4PX. So total charges will be RMB177.16 (inclusive of 3% credit card charges). Typically credit card exchange rate is around 4.6 and that work it out to be SGD38.5
