They left out the camera button too. Surprising since the ZR has it.

Size comparison... 6.44"+waterproofing vs 6.3" vs 6.1":
ultramegahuaweiscreenon.jpg

Probably for that thickness - 65mm, it will be awkward to have a tiny button.
Remember arc camera button?

The bezzle is too thick.

Phone size of 6.3" vs phone size of 6.1".. difference of 0.2" but physical sizes are about the same

Phone size of 6.44" vs 6.3".. difference of 0.14" inch and the physical sizes are so different

Besides asking about the launch date and price (which the Sony team will not be providing at this point in time), is there anything you want me to find out for you on the Xperia Z Ultra?

I am with the Sony team in Shanghai till Thur afternoon. So can help you ask any queries.

Thanks.

hope this gets bundled in the box.

Sony acknowledges that not everyone wants to hold such a gargantuan smartphone against their face and is launching a Bluetooth companion handset with the Xperia Z Ultra. The SBH52 is a Bluetooth receiver that clips onto your clothing and lets you take calls or listen to music either by holding it against your ear like a regular phone or by plugging in headphones. The receiver can quickly pair with any device using NFC and Bluetooth, and Sony says it's also splash proof for outdoor use.

have link to that info?
Hi all,

I have asked the local Sony team on the availability of the Z Ultra.

I read a BBC report about July's availability in certain parts of Asia.

The Sony team informed that it is referring to the 3G model of the Z Ultra.

Singapore will be getting the 4G model. So far they have declined to provide a specific launch date / time frame.

As for G4's queries, I have forwarded them to Sony. Will update once I get the reply.

dun tink sony sg will bundle teh handset in teh box
juz include teh base can liao

maybe pre-order can get teh handset ba

haha...the good stuff always only bundled in the brand's home market.
then I just hope it don't launch in sg too early, coz my early recontract can only be in Oct! :(

was actually waiting for Note 3. but since ultra supports basically any stylus except pressure support (which I don't need)...I can switch to ultra and still use my notes with other apps. plus I didn't quite like the plasticky feel of samsung.

something which I came across from pantech's implementation of a touch pad would have been nice for navigating such a huge screen single handed.

The only feature I love about ZUltra is the stylus input and triluminos display.

The triluminos display really made my white washed xperia Z looks bad :(

another thing i noted in ultra is that the battery is 3000mAh only.
i hope it's Stamina mode will be a big difference.
