I got the XREAL Air 2 from Aliexpress last year at $236.32 inclusive of shipping and GST. My Interpupillary Distance is 62.5mm and I don't need corrective lenses so the experience has been decent so far. Unfortunately it seems like all the stock of the XREAL Air 2 is now sold out.

My main use case is playing games or watching videos at night when sleeping with my kid so I don't really use the built-in audio. I'm usually lying down and staring at the ceiling while holding my controller/device/mouse.

1. Nintendo Switch 2 (connected via the Viture Mobile Dock Pro) - Played through quite a bit of Donkey Kong Bananza this way. The Switch 2 is effectively in docked mode when connected this way so you will either need to detach the Joycons or use a Pro Controller.

2. Steam Deck - The Steam Deck has only 1 USB-C port so I had to find a USB-C adaptor with multiple ports (https://a.aliexpress.com/_c3MIXNjl) so I can charge, connect my Inzone Buds' dongle and output video simultaneously. Note that at least 1 of the USB-Cs will need to be full-featured meaning it can output video.

3. Samsung S25 Ultra - I usually put my phone in Dex mode with Youtube on the left side of the screen and Chrome on the other side or just Youtube in fullscreen. I control it using a bluetooth mouse. I use the same adaptor mentioned above for charging/video output simultaneously.

I felt that the quality of the video output was good enough for the 3 use cases above and the experience was pretty enjoyable. I have also tried using it as a monitor for my laptop but I found it a bit fatiguing when reading fine text, especially in the outer fringes of the image where the text isn't as sharp as in the center.
