I am not even sure if telecom will sell, not seeing related firmware from Xpericheck. :D
I also noted it too. Maybe all should be using stock rom. No country in the world got so many version of ROM except SG.

Touched it and it is super big! For its heft, screen should be 6" since the onscreen buttons make about only 5.5" viewable for most apps. 16:9 is more view area for video.

Another thing is the brightness is quite dim compared to XZ2. I also saw the emojis greenish-yellow. The free wireless earbuds is better than HK promo but i hear cannot chose black.

Phone felt rough, conflicted to upgrade due to battery life and viewable screen not much bigger than S7e but phone body so big. :o

Do not be misguided by the numbers, also consider the width of the display.
5.8 inch of 16:9 ratio display is only about 1cm2 (area) smaller than 6 inch of 18:9 ratio display.

The 16:9 ratio is better for most video contents, and buttons will hide themselves.
Also, I do not think there is 4K display in 18:9 ratio yet.

Yup, no 4k with 18:9 display yet. Lucky meh. Feel 18:9 like bamboo. But very likely next year trend will be all becoming 18:9. :(

It also depends, since I still see people using 16:9 display phones as much as the newer ratio.

Add to the fact most of my games are in landscape mode, the same sized display will be smaller in 18:9 ratio, regardless the game supports wider display or not.

There will be still be users like me who prefers the standard 16:9 ratio compared to the new one.
