I am interested in buying too. Do we have to declare when we come back? Duty free liquor only up to 1 litre right?

Anyone been there before? Recently this name is quite popular and after looking it up and found it to be quite close to Kyoto.

Directions | Yamazaki Distillery | Guided Distillery Tours | SUNTORY

Also will buy a bottle or 2 of the prized Whiskey.

Whisky: Yamazaki Single Malt Sherry Cask 2013 Named World's Best

I don't think can just buy from Suntory distillery like that. Even japanese are having problem buying this whisky so good luck with that. I'll be keen to know where to get them too.

I been there is like 2-3 station away from my inlaws.
U cannot find their priced products for sure. U can find the usual 12, 18 and 25 yr old. I may have pics, have to dig around
Prices is higher than duty free iirc.

Yes tour only in jap and they only serve the 12 yr old.
Worst thing is they serve it high ball!!! Damn it's not whiskey tasting u have to go up and tell them u want it neat and they pour u a sample

Can buy in Changi, but limited stock, always sold out fast. Got my 12 yr as well as a Hakushu from T2.

Saw the distillery in between Osaka / Kyoto train rides.
Yamazaki can be found in Bic Camera but not the Cherry .

yeah now I think of it

it is those stuff like small ornamental bottles of whiskey, liquor filled chocolates and those mugs and other stuff...

the good stuff is probably the ornamental bottles...
