1st time to Japan, so don't know got inflation or not. Price seem reasonable. Shoe from ABC Mart is cheap, branded only S$60+-. GU price is cheap to me, more attractive then Uniqlo.

GU is the cheaper sister shop of Uniqlo... they are from the same parent company... They have shops all over Japan also... If you want more selection... can go to their stand alone buildings instead of those in shopping malls to browse... selections definitely more than those in shopping malls... less crowd and more changing rooms... plenty of free parking space also...

I personally dun like GU. It's cheaper but I find it cut corners. Eg winter jackets inside no pockets while Uniqlo ones have. Material also less refined than U. U is already quite affordable. So I just settle for U. Haha.

U are right... GU winter jackets usually doesn't have inner pockets to cut costs... Thats why it is cheaper for a reason... 一分钱一分货...

If you frequent cold countries... u probably want jackets that is something better than GU qualities... but for normal cheap casual wear... I think GU more economical... GU got their own loyal customers... thats why they are everywhere in Japan also... just that Uniqlo is more globally marketed and target a wider range of customers...
