Is it true that the exchange rates will be better if we change our SGD in japan? Saw from alot of tiktok sharing but they didn't say they were comparing which currency.

best to change in sg, eg. change alley in shenton way, or use the cashchanger website shared above. else use cards like revolut, utrip, etc. their rates r also pretty competitive. the rates overseas are usually quite bad.

If the rate is good can just change in Sg. I changed last week at 113 when the online rate was 114. Now yen has strengthened so much that Youtrip/Wise rates are 112/111.8. I pay everything by card and keep the cash for those places that only accept cash.
