I was thinking it should go lower according to live rates at Arcade... 15.15 but it seems to be quite stagnant at this rate. Anyway, I'm flying off tomorrow so with 290K Yen it should be enough for everything.

Unfortunately, I know nuts about Technical Analysis and all those charting techniques. I've a friend who's currently into Forex Trading and he was the one telling me about it. more than enough u plan not to buy anything just eat n travel around. if u know how to plan the train or bus travel.

2k SGD for 2 person for days. breakfast is provided by hotel. will the exchange gets better today? whats the chance that the rate will drop on weekend? yesterday night rate at mustafa was 15.18 (was it at arcade?)

2k is about 130000 for two. 65k yen each / 5 days = 13keach day.

Really depends on ur spending patterns. Should be alright I suppose.

How come you guys are tracking the rates of Mustafa only? Are they offering the best rates around?
What about those changers at Raffles Place Change Alley?? Are their rates comparable to Mustafa's?

that's cause Mustafa is the only one that publishes their rates online live, http://www.mustafa.com.sg/forex.asp

usually the changers at arcade are about ~5 cents lower, so you can roughly estimate their rates

mmmm air and JR pass (which added up to SGD977) aside, I'm exchanging 2K-2.5K (=approx 132000yen - 165000yen) for my effectively 6D6N tour. dunno enuff bo.

(Sidetrack: btw thanks to another forumer i gotten 2 tics for X Japan concert on 2/5! another SGD163 gone. Woo~)

Sianz... i changed at 15.20, then 1 minute before i left Mustafa, it changed to 15.21... lol

you guys can expect the SGD-Yen rate to further worsen in the following months. due to an increase in liquidity of the SGD on the Forex market. This trend will hit a reversal when the US economy picks up again or when there is a boom in foreign investments worldwide. Otherwise i don't think there will be a point of time when the yen was 100: 1.30 SGD. =X

just my 2 cents worth. dont go and bet your family fortune on my 2 cents worth. haha

I managed to change at arcade on friday's evening. ground floor indicated 15.22 but 2nd floor indicated 15.18

must be MAS meddling around with the SGD. i think the weakening and allowing the SGD to shift to a weaker band has begun.
