And dont bring sgd to japan to exchange as they dont accept it only US dollars even Malaysian ringget they accept it and im surpriced

i also just changed in Lucky Plaza. the one nearer to Tangs quoted me 1.57, then the one inside basement 1 quoted me 1.565, so i changed with them.

hope yen will drop somemore, then i go change for my nov trip.

I used CC in Japan and the bank rate was much worse than the actual rate.

CC rate are never good... my rule of thumb.. if lets say i change current at 1.57... and if by the time i am in japan and the rate drops to 1.5 bank rate ... then i might consider using CC.... else its cash for me all the way....


i dunno but i got a feeling AMEX vs VISA .. AMEX rates are slightly better.. but this is all based on feelings... as AMEX is more readily accepted in Japan than VISA
