wah! 600k. >< *jaw drop*
Anyway, I think yen will remain around this range this months until December. Seems like the best time for Yen exchanges are in June/July periods. And the worst time to change yen is during the Sakura season. >< Dunno why, but across the last 4 years, june/july prices always the lowest.

I currently in Japan. Will be so until next year april. Any advice for withdrawal? Now about 1.55 and keeps falling and rising. Still student, want to save as much as possible, any pros can give tips for the next few days?

nobody will noe whether the yen will rise or fall.. best is to change more if u feel its reasonable or if u think its cheap. or just go with the market rates and change when u need.

No way to know Yen in the next few days. But I do know that Yen is the MOST EXPENSIVE in March. Its generally higher in November with a slight dip in December. So maybe keep an Eye out for yen in early December.

no such thing. past performance is not indicative of future performance.

actually, quite agree with angcsbenny, we can never really predict the exchange rate fluctuations. but the best thing to note is that as long as it is almost hitting 15.40 or something its considered 'alright'. unless you think of changing more than $7K in SGD.

Haha, of course if anyone can predict the future it would be awesome la. But the best indicator you got would be to look at trends. But that's just my take on it. =] But you're definitely right, past performance shouldn't be taken as the gospel truth.

At least this formula has been working for me for the past 2 years. So I thought i would just share my experience with the Yen.

the strong yen is already killing their own company. i dun forsee yen will grow much. only a matter of time before it comes down

Yen going strong also not their fault.
Their rates is almost zero already.
It's investors dumping dollar buying yen and euros
