Yilan: Sights and Makan Recommendations

As suggested by @froztheart ; will put my recommendations on this thread.

Yilan is my favorite "near-Taipei" roadtrip. Ideally, better to stay a night or two but I've been doing day trips there too to see the green fields and enjoy the ocean.

Let's get my least favorite cafe out of the way first..this place is good if u have kids and wanna see some cute black faced sheeps.

The good:
1. I went cuz the name was awesome.
2. Go to this place only if u have kids who likes cute sheeps.
3. Good place to chill during hot summer days.
4. Easy parking
5. Ice cream was good

The bad:
1. There's a minimum spend for inside and outside seating.
2. Drinks and food were meh
3. Smells of sheep poop even tho they have someone fulltime doing poop cleaning job

This place has live music in the evening...but love the views of the river..nicely run by the owner of the house

I need to explore the South! Also, just watched a segment on Green Island delicacies and realized i missed out on so many!

Visiting yilan for 2 days. Going to 4 to 5 places per day including meals. Is it better to charter a vehicle or just uber around. Are taxi or uber easily accessible?
