I took up hatha yoga roughly 5 years back. Initially I joined yoga with my neighbour and my elder sis. Along the way, they quit, so did my friends whom I managed to psycho to join me.

So I had been practising yoga with a few aunties (yes, I am the only guy in the class) for at least 3 years until I got a back injury. It's been around 2 years since that I've not been attending classes and is planning to get back to it some time soon. Do you or anyone in this forum has good recommendation for a good yoga studio?

The classes I took back then was at a RC (resident's committee) and there is no level (beginner/intermediate/etc.) to those classes. The price of the yoga class in the RC is really cheap though ($45 for 12 lessons, an hour each).

Oh ya, I enjoyed yoga basically because I enjoy pulling and twisting my body. Ever since I was in Primary School, I enjoyed warming up sessions like no others. Everyone back then thought that I was a freak. No one was ever as serious as I were in stretching and pulling.

In terms of the yoga poses I like best. Hmm... It may sound contradicting, but I like meditating/relaxation poses best. There's nothing more peaceful than to be able to close your eyes and listen to the harmony that you have gone through with your body and mind throughout the whole yoga session, and perhaps life itself.

hey there! hm actually there are some yoga classes to help injuries, but you got to inform them before your classes and before you sign up for membership. For example, I know that Real Yoga has classes for back pain, as well as Therapy classes. But maybe you should check with your doctor first :) But from what I understand yoga helps you holistically so injuries/stiffness wouldn't be too HUGE a setback :)

Hm Real Yoga, True Fitness, HOM Yoga- these are the popular places so I figure that it's good! But if you're a beginner and not too sure if you want to commit, I actually suggest heading to community centres. It's much cheaper and you dont have to commit yourself long term yet, and you get a taste of yoga. From there you can decide if u like it :)

Hi there, well if you would like studio recommendations, I suggest you firstly tell us what you are looking for , in order for potential individuals to do recommendations. I currently practice at pure yoga. There are however, many other studios, and I am sure with all that options, do cater to everybody ;)

My favorite has to be the savasana! haha, well, for me yoga initially started off as an alternative to keeping fit, after which, its the very one activity that relieves stress, keeps me in balance and there always so much more I am learning about myself every other day. :) Infact, Been at it for 5 years, and recently some of my peer have started picking it up.
