I bought my dividend stocks from LSE/HKSE and SGX REITs. They are paying either quarterly or semiannual so it is very likely I will receive some dividend every month or almost every week.. Even though, dividend investing is not going to get me rich and need huge capital outlay, it serves very well for getting me paid regularly.

Power of CD! 💱 =:p

Everyone can hang out, it is just to show progress, growth, and motivate each other. Everyone has different starting points and progress is what matters, not the absolute.

Are there any spreadsheet templates for keeping track of one's net worth? I'm using Yahoo Finance, but it lacks year-over-year charts.

Don't forget to enjoy life while building up your networth guys!

Those that are rushing to retiring age 40 or even 30 are probably those that are not enjoying life as they are under pressure to beat the market every year to retire so young. :s13:

A more relaxed target, like FI by age 55 allows you to put your portfolio on 'glide' or 'cruise control', with occasional adjustments... no need to every day stare at trading screen and trade crypto

My target is 50 to 55 which is less than 10 years away

I am still trying to figure out what enjoy life really means. :) Not having stress or worry is already enjoying life. Beyond that it is all relative, since you just get used to a particular standard and then it becomes normal.

So to me life is like naked short call options, limited upside, unlimited downside, lol. There is a neutral level and then on the downside there can be unlimited pain and suffering but on the upside, there is no concept of unlimited enjoyment or fun. Everything that sounds exciting, after the initial novelty wears off, it is just neutral.

So for me it is mainly about avoiding pain and suffering and staying at a low level neutral.

Different people have different views on how to enjoy life. My wife enjoy spending money and that make her happy. I enjoy spending time, just sit down, sip a coffee/tea and people watch, read a book etc. That is why I really don't want to trade time for money unnecessarily. My wife on the other hand don't like spending time so it's better for her to keep working.

50-55 is a sweet spot for me since I can take it slow with dividend investing rather than growth investing and at the same time I still have some physical/mental strength to enjoy the world.
Another plus, I am only 10-15 years from collecting my retirement money if everything in current investment go wrong.

wow! envy so many high net worth

how will the low incomers evr hit a fraction of it?
Upskill, work hard, migrate to another country which values your labour more. People who want to achieve something and work towards it usually get what they want, eventually.
