Yea it would be more attractive to investment but everything will become more expensive because anything that’s imported will cost more

companies they won’t want to invest in manufacturing there just for one market in a tariff situation and must compete with house brand

I believe short med term china will be quite painful with reduction in export and domestic consumption not high + their housing crisis

we shouldn't cheer for CCP. they brought this to themselves. They promise to reform when joining the WTO. instead they never abide by the rules.. until the wto meant nothing now.

they do not implement regulation, they don't respect IP .. i think jordan even lost an IP battle there. There present government is extremely unstable. they can shut down the tuition industry the next day.

Not really, us can print and return as long as it is reserve currency, China will hold on to useless usd. This is like killing enemy 1000 troops, ownself die 999 troops. China won’t be that stupid to give it up, China just need to sideline and continue to ignore US while building themselves and US is already on the road to decline. LW will not follow....bcos trump only 4 years term....in the event if trump insist s'pore to set up tariffs for Chinese goods. cos s'pore need increase multiple network of trading partner & also has too much invested in china... but this will risk raising tariffs against s'pore if trump choose to do so... our F15/16/35/Boeing parts cost will be at deep risks.
