VP (admin) has nothing to do with education. He looks more into the operations side of things, like office staff, finance, infrastructure, that sort of things. So in army terms, he is more like a QM (quartermaster).

How can it have nothing to do with education when he is working in a school?

The Vice Principal (Administration) is a key member of the school’s senior management team. He/She oversees all non-curriculum areas. He/She ensures resources are managed efficiently. He/She leads the non-teaching staff such as executive and administrative staff to provide administration and daily support. He/She takes care of student affairs and plans for student placement. He/She also handles scholarship matters and all other student programmes. The Vice Principal (Administration) should have a passion for education and working with youths. He/She works along with the School Principal on school plans.

Tbh this news is really a shock cos he is quite soft spoken and friendly. Always walking around the school and its vicinity talking to students and parents. He is not the typical “I was from the army I am mightier than you” kind. He talks to students like friends and was always encouraging them. I heard him said before that his son(s) are/were from good schools.But truth be told he does look like he doesn’t have much role or decision making in the school. He basically handles really the admin stuff like the upkeep of the school. Looked like he is just waiting for retirement that kind.
