Strong urge to terminate my Zero1 $19 plan, activated 23rd April so got a few more days before I email them to do the termination 1 month notice.

How do people 'sell' these Zero1 to others who want the cheapo???? I log in can see account filled with my personal info, although some can be change like credit card , etc

My zero1 number is 'clean', ie speed is 4G, no weird spam call / WhatsApp etc. Only used to light surfing when on trains. So going for the $8 Myrepublic plan should be sufficent for moi....

I wondering... since zero1 need 1 month notice then how the porting to MR work?

Those who are on the $19 plan and planning on switching to MR $8, how would you feel when $8 goes back to it’s normal price after a year or so? The zero1 is guaranteed price as long as you are a subscriber, is MR $8 the same?
MR has these booster and monthly addons which I’m sure zero1 will impelement in the coming future.

Agree. Wait till MR from user review say that it can watch youtube and function the same as zero1 then use all the sour word. Those so fast port over might have to buy extra GB if the throttle speed only can listen to music. Should just sign up the line and wait till confirm good then port over or wait for ppl review. For me i port over to zero1 after i confirm it can watch YouTube. I also sign up for MR since it is really so cheap but without port in.

Somemore MR come a plan that cost $80 for 80GB. If MR $8 really can hotspot, watch YouTube and everything. Then i think those booster and 80GB plan become useless le. And hence for zero1 only come out 1 plan and claim can watch which sound reasonable.

Initally wan to port over but having some reservation so I also sign up a new line to test out the youtube.

only concern as more and more jump to MR not sure will the video streaming become worse.

Used Starhub before I terminated it recently, feels better reception as compared with Starhub in the past.

I used starhub before it is good.

The question now is whether the $8 is permanent and when this promo end?

MyRepublic did not mention that $8 is permanent, unlike Zero1 which promise the $19 is permanent. So MyRepublic might just increase the price few months down the road. But we'll, getting it for a spare line is fine as it is just $8 and you can cancel anytime. If porting over, you might have risk.

The throttled speed after 1gb is very bad. Someone tested and says only 0.15mbps. Zero1 has at least 1mpbs. But well $8 for the 1000 mins talk time is still very good
