I actually recycle through a lot of provider cos I'm a cheapo with low usage. before that I was with Singtel for 20 years.

M1 wise circles life is the best. totally no dead spots. I got it during the 7 dollar 11.11 promo a few years back.

my Republic on M1 is terrible. some weird spots at some corner of shopping center dun have never mind. out in the middle of a shopping center can have a dead spot. I give up on it.

I first had zero 1 when it was 19.9 unlimited. super good back then, no dead spot and Macham like original Singtel. now I'm back on it , I felt it's not as good as it originally was but so far no dead spots yet. just some place with 1 bar. for 6.9 I am v satisfied. come one, some bubble tea cos more than that nowadays

vivifi 9.9 not bad. I say it will be better than zero1 6.9. I never saw any 1 bar places before.

up to you I guess. 3 dollars not a lot nowadays.
they both reliable but I say vivifi a tad more.

Collected SIM card last night (waited half hour at SingPost, lots of people collecting passports).
Supposed to leave my M1 SIM card in the phone and wait for SMS from Zero1 with instructions.

The SMS didn't arrive - noticed at 10am this morning that the M1 line was no longer connected.
Swapped in the Zero1 SIM card - it's alive, although website says it is pending.

Finally, SMS arrived at 10:26am via the Zero1 SIM card asking me to switch SIM card...

Speedtest app on iPhone XR, within home, 4th floor, nearby Braddell MRT, shows 60Mbps/24Mbps - that was before receiving the above SMS.

Overall good porting experience.

FEW QUESTIONS:
1.Is Jumbo plan pre paid or post paid?
2. Lot of ppl commenting that we have to manually renew every month, but on their facebook I have this comment from Zero1:

Hi xxxxxxx! If you are on Jumbo plan and you have registered your debit/credit into your Zero1 wallet, you will be on recurring renewal automatically.

If you wish to top up manually using your debit/credit, simply email us at billing@zero1.sg and we will opt out the auto renewal for you. 😊

Jumbo is a postpaid plan but works in a prepaid manner. Topup every month to extend.

However, recently, they added auto billing through credit/debit card payments. So from now on, if you have the card details inside, they will renew automatically.

Hope you get a clearer picture.

Thank you, so is there any catch?
Why ppl will buy $6.90 plan for 6GB? If they can get 60GB for $12

- 6GB can be enough for them, and if exceed, will get unlimited throttled data without overages.
- Roaming is available for the Starter plan, unlike Jumbo plans. Yes, totally no roaming (yet).
- Different customer segments before the addition of auto-billing.

aha. your money v easy to earn.
I 6 gig also struggle to exceed 3 gig usage.
only half an hour on train using 4g. other time got wireless at sg or home WiFi.
if got 5.9 plan with 3 gig and unlimited thereafter I will switch.

Everyone has a different usage pattern. i.e., areas frequent. Good that M1/C.Life network works for you so go ahead and enjoy their service. Unfortunately it didn't work for me hence ported out.

Telcos selection is really a personal choice and there is no need to "understand" why there are complaints about a certain Telco; go through all the threads here and one will see complaints against every MNO and MVNOs.
