I just want to confirm what to do and what not to do during a trip to Malaysia without incurring additional charges.

Can we receive phone call in Malaysia without charge?

What is the charge for making a phone call while in Malaysia?

For data roaming what Malaysia ISP should we explicitly connect to for it to work?

I see the current Simba and Eight promo of top up $X get $X credits or even $(X x 2) credits I really feel like idiot staying on Zero1.

My main line is still on Zero1. Need the 5G which Simba cmi and eight don't have.

But I am on the Starter plan, also no 5G (at least not permanent, and in any case my phone is not 5G). :o

Oh I'm on their 4G plus plan from the beginning. Anyway SingTel based network has always worked well for me unlike StarHub based like giga etc. I would probably consider Simba or eight only becos of their ability/affordability for roaming calls.

for the $7 plan: https://zero1.sg/plans/zero1-basic

Does the free 5g for 3 months applies for new line or only for port-in customers?

Applies to both but additionally for port-in, below condition applies.

*3. The promotion includes 5G service for the first three months. This is not applicable for Singtel and Singtel-brand (GOMO and Heya) port-in. The plan will revert to 4G service thereafter. You can change the plan to Z-One 5G to continue with 5G service after the trial expires.

to use volte, you need to choose LTE/3G/2G, the VOLTE option will enabled.

if you select 5G/LTE/3G/2G, then the option is disabled.

Already selected lte only, poco f1 no 5g haha. Zero1 doesn't work but eight got volte so it's not the phone setting imo.

Have u keyed in the dial tone codes to always turn on VoLTE regardless of the telco settings?

Is it the dial to disable volte carrier check? If so, then yes.

So you all on zero1 $7 plan can use volte?
