Looking at how vivifi worded. It is quite clear.

My phone only supports 5G (NSA). Can my mobile plan remain on 5G (NSA)?

No. Our 5G NSA network will be retired by 31 December 2025. Your phone will fallback to use 4G network.

I went looking for proof of IMDA requiring that 5G NSA to be shutdown.
While it's not compulsory, Singtel is going ahead with the recommendations.

Had a brief look at the decision issued by IMDA on 5G - https://www.imda.gov.sg/-/media/imd...n--21-ghz-policy-and-regulatory-framework.pdf

Too long, didn't really read everything through but Point 5 and Point 71 is open for interpretation imo

Point 5 -
"making progress towards achieving at least 50% outdoor coverage by end 2022 and nationwide outdoor coverage (at least 95%) by end-2025."

Point 71 -
Notwithstanding, IMDA reiterates that it considers NSA deployments to be transitory and for the short to medium term only. IMDA’s policy preference is for 5G NSA networks not to continue perpetually, especially after nationwide SA coverage has been achieved, i.e., by end-2025.

EOD is also costs related. Why maintain another network when the new one is more than capable to replace it?

how's Zero1 in terms of coverage? is it good? has there been any improvement from the past few months?
planning to switch from M1 to Zero1. Based on the current charges that I'm getting from M1, i'll be saving $25. Or should I consider another telco provider instead?

It's Singtel. Can't beat its coverage.

If you're eligible you can consider signing up with ST directly as it's good value.

Let me just chip in a few cents. I was previously on M1 just 2 mths ago. Just happened to have one too many got signal no internet issue while I was trying to make a payment. Decided to switch to Zero1 after deciding to try a Singtel based MVNO and didn't look back. So far past 2 months none of that got signal no internet nonsense, not to mention I'm paying less than my m1 bespoke plan, getting more data, free apac roaming and free caller ID (another pain point with M1).

Singtel has the best coverage. Most area can get 5G too, but when their 5G NSA network shuts down, one may experience 4G instead of 5G.

how does this compare with Gomo which is also under Singtel?
When they were all still under 5G NSA times, no different TBH, even now although heard GOMO activated 5G+ which is SA instead of NSA, given my own experience recently with ST own 5G+ priority plan, I would assume as long as you are ST 5G, the experience would be more or less the same, unless tested at congested areas with huge crowd. Day to day won't feel huge difference.

My suggestion is get a Z1 2nd line to test your specific areas you go to, everyone goes different places so it's hard to say your experience will be the same as us.

Just like some folks use M1 no problem, some say CMI, so YMMV. If you don't test, you won't know.
If satisfied after your test, cancel the line and port in your main line. Done.

Bear in mind that we are in a no contract world now, so there is nothing to lose by trying out, except perhaps loyalty incentives to stay on (free months etc). Not happy can always hop to another player next month.

so far the signal to where i am at and during the travel is quite ok but let's see how it goes after a few days or week.

Can anyone share how long the porting takes?
I just received and activated my Z1 SIM moments ago.

They took 2 weeks to send me my physical SIM.
