Do be prepared, surfing and whatsapp text no problem
Download apps in Google Play store will slow down.
Play media sent by friends thru whatsapp takes time to download.
It will be slow like 56k modem speed.

It will be slow like 56k modem speed.

56K is around 0.056Mbps.

The speed difference is vast compared to zero1 1Mbps of managed speed

I went from 56k dial up to 1Mbps adsl and webpages takes seconds to load compared to several minutes.

you got uncle in your username and never experienced 56k dial up?

I remember leaving my pc on for 4 days just to download a game and my parents decided after that to upgrade to Adsl.

Of course apps downloading on 1Mbps is very slow. Personally I will try find a WiFI hotspot or go back home to download. Not the end of the world. Just have to live with minor changes in how you use your phone.

Lucky got home fibre 1 Gbps.

Think no ISP can match, it goes beyond 1 Gbps

I have been using zero1 for a month or so, no downtime but download of apps pretty slow yea but no real urgency to install app immediately.

can dont bother to check data usage cos there isnt such a tool but anyways its unlimited. Im on 1g unlimited btw, so far i think its good given the price.

That is just bad programming. A gigabit network won't give you over 1000Mbps with overhead.

One internal speed test tool I use compensates for overhead resulting in this result.

Starhub as usual is trying to trick less tech savvy users with big numbers

My zero 1 was OK. Till I ported in my Starhub n no LTE now.
Think I port out zero1 back to Starhub no contract.

IMO the 1Mbps is just usable enough for phone use like streaming music, sending emails, web browsing etc. Obviously its too slow to consider it as an unlimited and unrestricted data plan and considering the price what is there to complain?

Any significantly faster managed speeds and people will start to use it as a replacement for their home broadband which obviously zero1 does not want.

That time when MR came out with their $8 unlimited plan, got someone said want to give up home broadband and use the $8 unlimited plan instead.
