gomo better because have volte.Anybody who experienced both Zero 1 4g and Gomo 4g can comment on the data connectivity and voice quality ? Thank you.
I came from GOMO to Zero1. Was on GOMO from Nov 2019 until July 2022 and Zero1 from Aug 2022 to present.Anybody who experienced both Zero 1 4g and Gomo 4g can comment on the data connectivity and voice quality ? Thank you.
At crowded area are speeds of both Gomo and Zero 1 are throttled? Thank you.I came from GOMO to Zero1. Was on GOMO from Nov 2019 until July 2022 and Zero1 from Aug 2022 to present.
My experience is that both have good data connection but when you’re in a very congested area (for example peak hour at MRT) the speeds will be significantly throttled. Voice quality no complains at all just that calls will take a few seconds longer to connect as it’s over 3G (no VoLTE). Note that GOMO has enabled VoLTE now (it wasn’t enabled yet when I was still previously on GOMO) so the call connection time should be faster and sound clearer. Zero1 still don’t have VoLTE.
All mvnos are throttled when the network is crowded. To what extend is the question, nobody knows. At crowded area are speeds of both Gomo and Zero 1 are throttled? Thank you.
Yes both I have experienced throttled speeds when it's very crowded. Speeds can be as low as 1 Mbps.At crowded area are speeds of both Gomo and Zero 1 are throttled? Thank you.
Over time, the Jumbo plan has evolved to become a regular monthly plan. In the past, customers had to visit a physical store or the online shop on Shopee to top up or renew their plan. With ZERO1, enchance customers can now add their credit card information to automatically renew their plan every 30 days once it has expired. Can someone briefly explain how does zero1 jumbo plan works? I'm confused.
Replying live from Suntec City IT show. Crowded enclosed space. Network smooth and no sign of speed throttle. At crowded area are speeds of both Gomo and Zero 1 are throttled? Thank you.
I remember only paying regular fee in advance for the first month upon signing up, so I guess not. The following month's bill will be pro-rated by number of days after the first month till the following billing day.Does signing up zero1 starter have any fees?
My lines are from other providers (MyRepublic & RedOne) but the protocol is almost the same. For zero1 roaming (without subscribing any roaming packs), can it be disabled? Just want to be able to disable to be safe when not needed. And enable only when need to receive SMS OTP when overseas. Thanks.
Dont understandWhen other competitors dun have, Zero 1 gives everything. When u have everything, u want half
So your ans is, cannot disable at the network operator level. Got to do it at phone level. My lines are from other providers (MyRepublic & RedOne) but the protocol is almost the same.
Normally I disable MOBILE DATA & ROAMING DATA on phone setting for that particular SIM Card after flight take off. If wanted another layer of safety, switch to 3G/2G under NETWORK TYPE.
Then keep the ROAMING on your phone app turned ON. This way, you will receive OTP at anytime and most unlikely to incur DATA roaming charges. Just be careful not to answer or pick up phone calls since this is chargeable.
Is not CANNOT, of course you can. Disable at network or di-activating the SIM card is probably the easiest way.So your ans is, cannot disable at the network operator level. Got to do it at phone level.
For Singtel, can disable at network operator level
No, it cannot be disabled. For zero1 roaming (without subscribing any roaming packs), can it be disabled? Just want to be able to disable to be safe when not needed. And enable only when need to receive SMS OTP when overseas. Thanks.
In the case of Zero1, is cannot. Is not CANNOT, of course you can. Disable at network or di-activating the SIM card is probably the easiest way.
The way I do it is, to keep Voice & SMS ROAMING turned on at network level, able to receive SMS and Calls 24/7 when I am overseas and unlikely to incur Data Roaming charges.
At least there is data roaming safety catchNo, it cannot be disabled.
However, Zero1 does not allow data roaming unless you bought a data roaming package. So, as long as you do not purchase a data roaming package, data roaming does not work.
PAYU voice & SMS roaming is provided by default though, so you will be able to receive SMS when overseas.
When you are in Singapore, there is nothing to do, by default data roaming is disabled on your phone.Dont understand
I want when in sg, roaming disabled
When overseas, enable roaming on demand
This is basic safety catch isnt it
Can it be done at the MVNO level? If no then the only safety catch is at phone level
