BTW,

Is Zero1 4G speed any faster than other SingTel backed MVNOs like ZYM, Heya, VIVIFI and etc.?

I have got a $10 SIMBA line on my secondary phone to port out very soon since I have not tried Zero1 yet.

Second that!

It looks like all the 5G plans from most MVNOs are priced at $19.90 at the moemnt. That's double the price of the same pattern plans but on 4G!

Paying so much extra for the high speed of 5G that we actaully don't need it! So, exepensive and not woirth it indeed! 😷
if one wants really true 5G experience, they should go with their main MNO, Singtel, can try their SIM Only plans with 5G, i'm sure their 5G experience will be much better than zero1 or other ST based mvnos.

If you are able to pay $19.90/mth, then i think it's better to go for Singtel SIM Only at $20.19/mth with 100GB 5G data (*3 months). 60GB 4G thereafter. Of cos you be in 12-months contract.

According to my experience, 5G coverage by ST is great, but once it goes to 4G it is worse off than some competitors at times, even MVNO. You get some, you lose some.

So it is really not worth it to sign sim only plans from MNO, higher prices and still less priority than the standard contract plans. And they charge in advance (pay this month for next month cycle), refund will be troublesome when porting out.

True. Last time even when I use Grid Mobile, tuas area 4G is weak, drop to 3G.

Some places 4G is bad, even simba might be faster.

Only found out about the new promo recently (100GB for $10).
Was thinking of porting out then back in as I was on a higher plan (50u). End up sending a ticket through their website to ask whether I can downgrade... replied within 5 mins. I confirmed my intention to downgrade and agreed to pay $10.80 admin fee. After that they did it all within 1-2 hours. Fast!

For those wanting to upgrade, can just login to account management and DIY from there (upgrade is foc).
For those who want to downgrade, the new plan cannot be seen from there so have to contact them.

My previous billing cycle on 21st though... so I lugi one month of previous subscription ( i assume no pro-rate).
but the savings will make up for it in due time.

btw it's now free 2GB/month for Malaysia (1GB for Thailand/Indonesia)

just downgraded from 50u to Z-One 4G today after sending a ticket asking whether it's possible to do so.
All done in about 2 hours effective immediately. Very fast service!

Anyone able to share their experience using Zero1 network compared to ZYM? Any dead/blind spot? Thanks in advance!

Sorry to side track the topic, just my personal experience from vivifi. Though it's using sintell infrastructure, while i was having dinner at one of the coffee shop, it suddenly just shows "no signal" for next 2-3 mins or so and recovers to 1 signal bar and no signal back and forth.

Bear in mind Zero1's monthly 1GB Roaming entitlement is valid for the first 12 months hor...

After the 12 months period, there will be no 1GB roaming entitlement.

12 mths later better plans would probably be out...
I think Zero1 updates their existing plans to be more competitive also. e.g. Previously 50u (50GB unlimited) didn't have free roaming, but few months back they added free 100GB (on top of 50GB) + 1 GB free roaming to it for their existing subscribers

The initial MVNO was giga and then to vivifi. But due to "no service" from vivifi in a very congested coffee shop during dinner time. I decided to either try out zero1 or zym. Kinda like hit or miss. Maybe i am the one of unlucky one to experience no service from vivifi. Even sending an email to vivifi at that point of time it's a challenging task. Had to walk out of the coffee to get some signal recovered. If not I won't be planning to switch telco.
