For my Vivifi and Zym it uses the Roam World 1st instead of the RoamAP.

Yes it doesJust to check, the RoamAP 20GB data gets refreshed every month right?
Those without the 365 days tag are monthly quotas.Just to check, the RoamAP 20GB data gets refreshed every month right?
Charging or limited free SMS are the misteps of telco which led to the uprise of Whatsapp. Actually when Whatsapp was introduced, telcos should just open its SMS both local and overseas free to everyone, now Whatsapp becomes the king of texting. Even RCS being the new gen of SMS came a little too late, making it difficult to become main stream too with its compatibility issue. When you can charge $0.80 each overseas roaming SMS, it remains very profitable

Yep. However, text messaging still remains in use, so RCS is still a critical step.Charging or limited free SMS are the misteps of telco which led to the uprise of Whatsapp. Actually when Whatsapp was introduced, telcos should just open its SMS both local and overseas free to everyone, now Whatsapp becomes the king of texting. I am definitely a SMS supporter but felt that SMS and MMS can be the main stream but due to telco wrong move or non-move led to its downfall and handed over its crown to Whatsapp, such a pity.Yep. However, text messaging still remains in use, so RCS is still a critical step.
In one common application, not every business will pay Facebook to send OTPs, so SMS OTPs still exist for number verification and 2FA. There's also the point that WhatsApp can be installed on another phone/device, and multiple logins means that it is still possible to compromise/hijack, unlike with SMS where it's still device-to-device and endpoints are known. Encryption adds a layer of security.
SMS falls under the GSMA making it part of the base cellular standards.I am definitely a SMS supporter but felt that SMS and MMS can be the main stream but due to telco wrong move or non-move led to its downfall and handed over its crown to Whatsapp, such a pity.
Precisely SMS stands a very strong chance to rule the texting world, but missed the chance, letting the flood gate opened and now it is so saturated.SMS falls under the GSMA making it part of the base cellular standards.
WhatsApp was a disruptor that saw a service gap and jumped in using the Internet Protocol (not the underlying GSM network - so in a sense it's "application layer" if we were to use the OSI model analogously). Likewise for iMessage, which is also a strong replacement in some other countries. Today, there are many messaging apps all vying for attention and having varying adoption rates across the world, but these are all third party applications at a higher layer.
The one global common denominator is SMS. RCS is its designated successor.

iMessages cant make it being expecting only iOS exclusivity only, just like all its other in-house apps eg Face Time, iTune etc rigidity (the underlying greed behind wanting people to just buy its product to use it), ending just being a niche service.
iTunes was initially meant for iPod usage only as opposed to the general MP3 formats, it eventually opens up to non Apple users. Bear in mind other MP3 formats are freely downloadable and transferrable from the beginning, iTunes are still rigid and songs purchased pre-2009 are still DRM-restricted. Moreover, it is not MP3 but M4a format which may require MP3 conversion to play in some player app.itunes is not exclusive to apple devices. it has been available on windows platform since 2003.
facetime calls are also no longer exclusive to apple devices/users since 2021.
