Z1 response:

The charge of $0.31 is due to a single outgoing roaming SMS message sent while you were physically located in Malaysia.

Why the Bill Displays "96197777" Instead of your Contact's Number

What is this number? The number 96197777 displayed on your invoice is not the private phone number of the person you texted. Instead, it is the technical Singtel SMS Centre Number (SMSC). Because Zero1 partners with Singtel’s underlying network infrastructure for roaming services, this number acts as the central routing hub that processes and dispatches all text traffic generated by your SIM card while abroad.
----------
The number 96197777 is not a standard phone number; it is the SMS Center (SMSC) number for the Singtel network

I dont even use Iphone or imessage ... anyway ..... paid them ... small money ..

i mean, the 31 cents is small money. But it isn't justified, something you never send out and not even "iMessage" activation. We shouldn't have paid for it.

the email stated "strict no-wavier policy"... lazy to argue with them i made a mistake and paid $1 instead of 0.31 as credit card min is $1 ... didnt read the rest of the email on how to use paynow with tons of instructions when paying... 0.31c

Some may choose to go multiple countries within a trip and those frequenting JB who also travel beyond to the rest of APAC within a month will prefer to use the 1TB first and conserve APAC quota for travel outside MY/TH/ID.

1TB a year = 85.3GB a month if averaged out.

Makes more sense to use the quota that is restricted to a smaller group of countries first, and use the broader quotas later.

Imagine if eight or SIMBA were to deduct intl group A first then apac and finally main data for malaysia roaming, people would be up in arms!
Indeed, the priority of deduction should be based on same tier and not different tier. If 1 TB is only available in Malaysia then depleting data of another tier of roaming including other countries are not the right way, even if the latter is a monthly renewal package. Unless the package has a monthly Malaysia only roaming data item, then it is fine to deduct the monthly item first followed by the yearly item.

Is 5G SA and NSA having issues now?

Woke up and saw that my phone is only connected to 4G+. Summoned airplane and it went back 5G. After a few minutes, it fell back to 4G+.

In Japan, Zero1 has 3 roaming partners :
NTT Docomo, Softbank, KDDI (but KDDI seems now missing from their list)

When connected to Softbank & KDDI, the data usage deducted is from the monthly Roam AP allocation.
However when connected to NTT Docomo, the Roam World 365 days allocation is deducted instead.
Might solve the puzzle for some on why both pools are used.
