Yes, mine is China A2017.

I got the update from here: https://www.obeygeek.com/download-zte-axon-7-android-7-1-nougat-ota-update-mifavor-ui-4-0/

And I use recovery to flash it, no lost of data.

No sure how to post with Pic to show my updated phone.

Just got an OTA patch update for my A2017.

Now my version is ZTE_A2017V1.1.0B11

Go to developer options
Under there turn on OEM unlocking
You won't be using bootloader, but it is needed for stock recovery's "apply update from SD card"

Found some changes:
1) they fixed the bug on the do-not-disturb mode icon on the status bar. I set my DND on a schedule and before the patch, the icon doesn't appear but all notifications are silenced. Great work!

2) the lock screen font color now blend with the lock screen wallpaper..Which makes it harder for me to see the time now. . The unlock screen fonts are bold now.

Cant really tell now only updated less than 24hr.
Standby seems to last longer compared to 7.0
Unplugged my phone from 3am, until 9am..No drop from 100%

Go to developer options

Where did you download the update package from?
I had the same error, but it worked when i downloaded my update package from ZTE Germany and not the ZTE Support site
Im not too sure about the A2017 model, so try to stick to official update packages
If not, try contacting support

I read somewhere that you have to update to B10 first b4 you go update to Nougat....
Maybe you should try if you have not done so....

No matter which model it is, it's worth a try to update step by step to B10 first ... then upgrade to Nougat. What do you lose anyway ? .....nothing rite....
