Usually keep minimum amount of money for my Celcom prepaid as I kena before, money deducted for Celcom services I did not subscribed, it was RM1 per week.

Now looking at other telcos as Celcom services getting bad and even the Xpax app not working while the Hotlink and Digi apps which I tested on my Huawei Mate 9 were working properly.

I've asked on the Xpax twitter about the app and they did not reply.

Can't seem to find the source where I've read about the grace period for OneXOX.

You might want to call customer service or check with the dealer in the Travel Bazaar.

The onexox dealer say No passive as we give instant 28months

Pay to extend
1 year extension RM25
6 months RM18

So say bye bye when card expire.

Argh! Looks like another negative feature unique to OneXOX then.

How did you get to this list/page? I checked on the app and couldn't find anything similar, otherwise it'll be so much easier to use the SP each time.

I believe this was done via USSD *150#; there was number keypad at the back of those options. ;)

Thanks! :)

I figured as such and have been trying to explore *150# whole afternoon and just couldn't get in. Anyway, went through the app again and believe the Mobile Internet options should work as well. ;)

(That's why I deleted that part but our posts crossed. :s13: )

AFAIK, you can retain the Digi prepaid number for a long time at a low cost.

In theory... just spending RM5 is sufficient to retain the Digi Prepaid SIM for MORE THAN 1 year.

Let's start by assuming that currently:

- You have a Digi prepaid SIM card which is ALREADY in grace/passive period AND currently the Digi prepaid SIM card balance is RM0.

To retain the Digi prepaid number for a LONG TIME at minimum cost -- we start by topping up RM5 to the Digi prepaid SIM card:

05 days (Top up RM5 will get 5 days active period; Balance: RM0 + RM5 = RM5)
75 days (Balance: RM5; 75days grace/passive period after active period ends)

01 days (Pay RM1 to get 1day active period via USSD *128# Balance: RM5 - RM1 = RM4)
75 days (Balance: RM4; 75days grace/passive period after active period ends)

01 days (Pay RM1 to get 1day active period via USSD *128# Balance: RM4 - RM1 = RM3)
75 days (Balance: RM3; 75days grace/passive period after active period ends)

01 days (Pay RM1 to get 1day active period via USSD *128# Balance: RM3 - RM1 = RM2)
75 days (Balance: RM2; 75days grace/passive period after active period ends)

01 days (Pay RM1 to get 1day active period via USSD *128# Balance: RM2 - RM1 = RM1)
75 days (Balance: RM1; 75days grace/passive period after active period ends)

01 days (Pay RM1 to get 1day active period via USSD *128# Balance: RM1 - RM1 = RM0)
75 days (Balance: RM0; 75days grace/passive period after active period ends)

===============
460days in TOTAL !!

By doing the above, I've shown that by spending JUST RM5...

You can retain/keep your Digi prepaid SIM number for 460days (MORE THAN 15 months !!) -- WITHOUT the need to do any top up during this 460days.

Above is assuming that:

- You always remember to pay RM1 to buy 1day active period via USSD *128# just before the end of each 75days grace/passive period.
- No outgoing calls & no outgoing SMS are sent during any active periods.

If in Malaysia, you can even use mobile data on the Digi Prepaid SIM card during any active period WITHOUT money deducted from the Digi prepaid balance -- BECAUSE current version of Digi Best/Live prepaid SIM cards come with FREE (64kbps) basic Internet !!

You can of course REPEAT the above cycle EVERY 460days.

If you understand the above info -- GOOD for you.
If you don't understand the above info, just ignore this post.

Hope the above helps.

Just double confirm the rm1 is to buy 1 day active not rm1 1day Internet pass?

How does the screen look like?

Someone just call the Digi customer service say must topup each time to get the grace period and not deduct from credit

I wonder....

Who is correct? Digi customer service don't know..

1 day activation, not Internet Pass, and I believe this is under the Super Long Life (SLL) feature, thus only available for DiGi Best plan.

Edit: @steven168z - some info on Super Long Life here. If you want anything clarified, can also register and post your question/s there. There are DiGi staff in the DiGi forum.

During grace/passive period if I access USSD *128# using my Digi prepaid SIM card, I get this screen below:

yirmaF8.jpg

From above screen, if I select option 1, I get this screen below:

From above screen, if I select option 1, I get this screen below:

R4EVuXs.jpg

From above screen, if I select option 1 -- then RM1 will be deducted from my Digi prepaid card balance AND my Digi prepaid card will then become active for 1day.

That means I would (then) have spent RM1 -- using money in my Digi prepaid card balance -- to PAY & BUY 1day active period.

BTW, from 2016 Jun till now 2017 Jan, I've ALREADY used this RM1 option A FEW times -- to pay & buy 1day active period -- (JUST BEFORE the end of each 75days grace/passive period) on my Digi prepaid card !!

AFAIK, this RM1 option to pay & buy 1day active period -- is available to BOTH current version of Digi BEST & Digi Live prepaid SIM cards.

Is the above CLEAR ENOUGH? :)

Thank you.

So your current expire 30 Dec 2016.

So grace period is 75days from 30 Dec 2016?

Don't know why that person say he call digi say don't have such thing.

Anyway thanks for your screen shot this is the best to show it working.

My current digi prepaid best expire on the 4 Feb 17 and I have rm 8.40 inside.

Will follow your method to active 1day on 70days after 4 Feb 17.

Try not to do on 75days as too dangerous on last day.

As far as I know (AFAIK)...

The service to deduct money from Digi prepaid card balance -- in order to PAY & BUY active/validity period is called SLL (Super Long Life).

There are a few (known) Digi prepaid SLL options:

(a) Deduct credit balance to buy 365days active period (i.e. buy 1yr active period)
(b) Deduct credit balance to buy 30days active period
(c) Deduct credit balance to buy 1day active period

Obviously, (a) cost higher than (b), while (b) cost higher than (c).

This Digi prepaid SLL service -- is not something new at all.

I've known since quite a long time ago that SLL option (a) exists.
Personally, I even knew of some guys who have bought SLL 365days (1 year active period) for their Digi prepaid card.

But I only knew about SLL option (c) -- buy 1day active period -- less than a year ago (in 2016).

**
One example of a Digi chart (post/shared on 2016 Apr) that shows cost of SLL options available for different versions of Digi prepaid SIM is as follows:

jkn8eps.jpg

Edit 2018-09: The above chart is now outdated -- updated chart can be found at this Digi community Web page:
http://community.digi.com.my/t5/Prepaid/Super-Long-Life/ta-p/13004

Unfortunately, the above Digi chart does not show the SLL cost to buy 1day active period...
(so maybe that's why people are not aware of the SLL option to buy 1day active period)

SLL options for newer Digi prepaid SIM cards like Digi Live prepaid is also not included in the above chart.

Another thing about Digi SLL option is that -- you must have sufficient credits in your Digi prepaid card balance in order to see all available SLL options.

As an example, from above Digi SLL chart, you need RM8 to buy 30days active period.

(Thus) You'll need to have MORE THAN RM8 available in your Digi prepaid balance -- in order for the RM8 (30days) option to appear in the SLL options list available for you to select.

**
If we just want to keep/retain our Digi prepaid card (for as long as possible) at a low cost...

We can ignore other SLL options; and just be interested only in the SLL option to buy 1day active period. :)

how to buy digi card in sg ar ? or need to go malaysia to buy ?

If you want it properly registered with your particulars, get it from Malaysia.

Nearest:

- Take bus to Woodlands' side of JB CIQ. After clearing immigration and then customs, you'll see a DiGi booth a few meters away on the left. It's just beside a small convenience shop before an exit, so you can't miss it.

- After buying, get out from that exit and follow the crowd as they head for places like JB Sentral, City Square, and Komtar JBCC. If you don't want to go shopping or makan there, then... I'm not sure if they'll allow you to cut across in the big hall just before the travelators... if so, join the other crowd heading back to clear MY immigration and customs again, then take the bus back. Or go onto the travelator and join the crowd further down the route...
