will the male kill the female?
I put 2 females with a male trying to breed them but both females died.
there are a lot of hiding space for these 3 only fish.
I've not encountered such cases in my tank.
I bought on 5 a year, 2 males and 3 females. All 5 gone already. What I have in that pond are their offsprings and new generation of babies.
Anyhow, the females can die while giving birth. And when we buy females from the shop, mostly likely they are already pregnant.
Look carefully in your tank. There might already be very tiny babies.
