I am not sure if my has the problem.

I just feel that my ANC like getting worse. Can hear the surrounding people even when ANC is turned on.

Not sure if this qualifies for an exchange.

It is not unexpected to hear surrounding people even with ANC on. It’s more of how clear.

U got a good fit?

I have a good fit.

Sometimes with ANC and without ANC the effect not much of a diff.

Didn’t think too much of it til I saw this recall. Maybe really has a problem or I am thinking too much. 😂

i recently got my APP, i think getting AppleCare still worth it right? cause it will cover any battery issues. :s12:

Yes. AC+ covers more than the crackling sound. It also covers accidental damage and the case, which is not covered under this recall. Given that it is so cheap, I think it is worth it

With AC+, you can activate express replacement service as well. Instead of going down, they will send the replacement to you first and you. They will collect from you within 10-14 days based on your schedule

Totally agree. My plan is to do an exchange for the charging case/AirPods Pro on the last week of my AppleCare warranty, probably there is a new product going out 2 years later but at least I have a brand new AirPods Pro that will probably last another 2 years. It's like paying $50 to get a brand new AirPods Pro. There is barely any troubleshooting they can do over the phone and for Applecare+ customers, it's like a no question policy, you want a replacement, they acknowledge and send over a brand new one. Already made an exchange within the first 3 months of purchasing an Airpods Pro due to cracking noises.

Agree with buying with AC+. My bad, been a while since I last use a vBulletin forum, don't even know how to quote a post lol.

I’m experiencing more issues on my left side but yesterday I discovered that right side also started to act abnormally. My appt is this afternoon. Hope they change both at once. By the way, the replaced AirPods is new or refurnish? I don’t think there is any refurbished AirPods right?

I went for this appointment at QCD Wheelock. They told me it’s repair and 3-5 business days. I couldn’t do without my AirPods so i declined the service. Better intermittent noise than no AirPods for a few days.

I think going to Genius Bar is better since they do exchanges.

I chat with Apple support and they gave me long story to ask me to reset my airpods and repair again.

I immediately closed the chat cause I knew where it was going. Did you have to do anything or straight away you fixed Genius Bar?

I chat with the apple support and fixed a genius bar appt.

Both side exchanged after diagnosis.

So far so good for the new pods.

the ANC was never that noise cancelling in the first place. if you're coming from a Sony or Bose, it's worlds apart but for its size, i think the APP ANC is good.

how was the process?
Straight forward. Let them know the problem you encountered, they will connect your AirPods (that’s why need to bring your case) to their computer and try to run some diagnostic. Even though the software didn’t detect any abnormality, they still proceed to replace both ear piece for me. By the way, I’m didn’t purchase Apple Care but I bought my AirPods Pro in March this year which is still under warranty.
