i think when deposit will pay 2% again, cash+ will be 4% or more and many people will be willing to take very small risk for extra 2% per year (compounding!)

This space is getting crowded. Once fixed deposit and SSB recover, many will be shifting out to all these zero risk options..

By the time fixed deposit reaches 2%, I think only left with 1-2 robo advisors. Also when cash+ reaches 4% or more, their other portfolios which they can make money will may take a hit. They are making no money or at a loss with cash+ so doubt they can last too long if most people are only parking money there.

Nv do any stock investments before , is it a gd place to start ?

agreed with shutterfly

syfe better for starters. only one portfolio no need to choose anything. and no min balance, no fees.
if talk abt investments, personally prefer stashaway or syfe to endowus. again, no min balance, no min monthly DCA is a big plus for me.
juz test small small amt to get yr feet wet wet first. after u get familiar with investing den u can try explore the others

endowus got min sum dunno they act atas or wht. oso got other things i not comfortable with endowus.

Actually Syfe Cash+ has no minimum starting deposit.

I only bought cash+ by Syfe only in these few days (not that i heard anything abt how gd it is).... it is more cos of singlife rates has dropped! It has a return of 0.3567% in just few day x, i m never a greed who ask for alot.... even if it maintained this rate x 12mth and round down wow! 4% p.a is alot!!!!!!!
assumptions r too high still, let’s half it after a yr! 2% is still alot at this rate when most have dropped!

F**k stashaway simple, they deservd to b dumped after f, wasted all my time investing w them when they started at yr end 2019!!!

Started on syfe cash+ in Jan. Haven't reach the full 1- month mark, but if I extrapolate, it prob will reach around 3.5-3.7% returns, time weighted.

Am pleasantly surprised. What will be the risk of putting more funds into this? If I understand, DBS is the custodian?

I don't think you can extrapolate it like this. Just take their projected rate and use it as a gauge. It's non guaranteed anyway.

It all depends on the performance on the underlying funds, which are affected by the markets.

Risk wise I believe this product and it's constituents are among the lower risks.

Stashaway simple is out for sure, i comment this after a year of investmt in simple stashwy.... esp no1 is able to time the mkt,& if a portfolio is not able to prove to me in showing consistency, then it is not a gd portfolio(be it in a form of cash mgt/money mkt) https://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/132341957-post209.html
Yr-end o 2020 is practically a gd time for nearly every type of investmts hence it is ez to see a rise....
i believe the Short term duratn bond is helpful 4 those who r cashing it in 1-2 yr x

Agree with @gold_eagle36. Not accurate to extrapolate as this is a very new product. It could be just that one of the underlying fund doing very well these few weeks. I don't think need to worry too much about all the money disappearing if you invest more, just that the returns may not be as high as you expect as time passes.

Syfe cash+

still have to confirm the transaction in Syfe portal after transferring the fund? Keying in the reference number during transfer is already inconvenient compared to topping up Singlife. :(

Cannot compare to SingLife. Need to wait a few days for your money to be invested, then if you want to withdraw, even longer.

"For funds deposited before 10.30am on Mondays to Fridays, we will work hard to invest your funds within the same day." So only on theory?

Have to tell Syfe the transfer amount each time after the bank transfer? :s11:
