day 4: Return to Tokyo / Roppongi

day 5: Lake Kawaguchi

day 8: travel to Tsuruoka
day 9: Mount Haguro, Tsuruoka town

Mine for the Jan 2010 Winter in Hokkaido

29/1 Sin-Tokyo
30/1 Tokyo Haneda - Memanbetsu (arrived afternoon) walk around town and sight see
31/1 Abashiri (staying at Tokyoko Inn) - take the 9am ice drift tour or 8am if there is earlier
31/1 After lunch take the the Ryuhyo Norokko Train Abashiri (A69) to Shiretoko-Shari (B72)
31/1 Take bus to Utoro to Iruka
1/2 - Go to Furepe Waterfall Furepe Waterfall (snow walk) and Ryuho walk (booked). Do sightseeing, ice diving etc.
2/2 - depart for Kushiro (Lake Akan), taking the twinkle bus Shiretoko-Go
2/2 staying at New Akan Hotel - fireworks at Lake Akan at night
3/2 - Lake Akan (go crane park and some other sightseeing), ice fishing, snow mobiling
4/2 – Go to Lake Lake Shikaribetsu (reach early afternoon) stay one night at Shikaribetu Kohan Onsen Hotel Fusui
5/2 – morning at Lake Shikaribetsu, doing some activities like hot air ballon snow walking etc, departing for Sapporo in the late afternoon reaching Sapporo at night (abt 8pm)
6/2 morning – go to Tsudome Site, Sapporo Snow festival
6/2 after lunch go to Otaru and come back after dinner
7/2 – go Nijo market, shopping eating and other snow fest activities.
8/2 – go to airport and back to Singapore.

Day 1 Sin-Tokyo Narita / Haneda / Sapporo
Sapporo –Nakafurano

Day 2 - Biei Central Area - The tower of the four seasons (Biei Town Office) - rented bikes and went to :-
Hondori (main street) shopping mall and around The Road of Patchwork

Day 3 - Furano - Farm Tomita and town

Day 4 - Otaru - Sankaku Market, Music Box Museum, Otaru city Art & Literary Museum, Sushiya Street

Days 5 & 6 - Hakodate - morning market (Hakodate Asaichi), Onuma Park
, Goryoukaku Park, Hakodate Dock, took the tram ride

Day 7 - Lake Towada

Day 8 Nikko – Hachinohe Fish Market (on way to Nikko), Lake Chuzenji,

Day 9 Nikko - Toshogu Shirine, Taiyuinbyo, Rinnoji

Day 10 Fuji Five lakes – Lake Kawaguchiko , Lake Sai ko, Lake Shoji-ko, Mount Fuji 5th station;

Day 11 Hakone - Hakone Shrine, Hakone Detached Palace
Day 12 Osaka – Osaka Aquarium, Osaka Castle
Day 13 Osaka - , Umeda Sky Building, HEP FIVE, Diamor Osaka, Dotonbori, Shinsaibashi Shopping., Den Den Town

My Hokkaido + Tokyo itinerary Spring 2010 (late May).

D00 - Night flight from Singapore.
D01 - Tokyo Haneda.
D02 - Monbetsu - Kamiyubetsu Tulip Park
D03 - Biei (drove from Monbetsu) - Takinoue Moss Pink Park.
D04 - Biei - Farm Tomita, Biei's Panorama Route.
D05 - Biei - Patchwork Route, Asahikawa city.
D06 - Sapporo (train from Biei) - Sapporo city.
D07 - Sapporo -Otaru.
D08 - Sapporo - Old Govt House, Clock Tower, Sapporo TV Tower, Odori Park, Shiroi Koibito Park.
D09 - Noboribetsu (drove from Sapporo) - Hell Valley, Onsen Street.
D10 - Hakodate (drove from Noboribetsu) - Hiroyiyama, Lake Kuttara, Lake Toya.
D11 - Hakodate - Goryokaku, Trappistine Convent, Mt Hakodate.
D12 - Hakodate - Hakodate Asaichi, Kanemori Red Brick Warehouse.
D13 - Tokyo (fly from Hakodate) - Shinjuku.
D14 - Tokyo - Akibahara, Asakusa.

Sapporo - Hotel Gracery Sapporo - 4/5 (room small but good location)
Noboribetsu - Dai-ichi Takimotokan - 4.5/5 (best onsen, expensive in peak period)
Hakodate - Loisir Hotel Hakodate - 3.5/5 (not bad but got better choice)
Tokyo - Hotel Sunroute Plaza Shinjuku - 4/5 (recommended, good location)

Car Rental
Nippon Rent-A-Car (recommended)

Hey guys need some help will be going with my gf on either sept/oct and around 7 days anyone got a sample itinerary on tokyo as i see alot on 10 or more days.

Wish to do visit must see places in japan and shopping . Want to visit disney and universal possible also ? 4K including air and hotel enough ?

10+ days is coz they go more than 1 place mah... so just refer to the tokyo part loh

universal studio is in osaka... are u planning to go just tokyo, or tokyo+osaka?
4k for 1 or 2 person?

4k per person more than enough... unless u planning to do a lot of shopping, eat expensive restaurant and stay expensive hotel :D

tokyo to osaka can take shinkansen. about 3hrs, 13750yen one way (check hyperdia). u might wanna get JR pass (7-days 28300yen) if u are gg osaka.
since u are planning to go only 7 days, u might wanna rethink whether to go osaka as transportation is quite ex.

yup, toyko is easy. can get to all the popular attractions using their trains and subway

sep and oct same ba... probably oct is cooler

guys, can squeeze in a trip to nagano ski resort in a 12 days trip if i'm planning to just go to tokyo and nearby places only? Or will it be very rush?

1+ hrs from tokyo to nagano... still possible to squeeze in as a day trip
but transport quite expensive, may not be worth it
