I recently found that through DBS iBanking, I can apply from a range of POSB and DBS credit cards! Is that easy, click apply, submit documents and we are good to do :)

Wow, the DBS iBanking website even have a View Giro arrangement section, where you can see all the GIRO arrangements with your DBS/POSB bank account, and the bill reference no. etc. Never know that there's such a function before in the iBanking website until now.

Will use this feature to track all the GIRO payment arrangements.

Wah but scary leh if we get the option to reverse/cancel FAST transfers.

My husband told me about how a foreign entity recently transferred a large sum into his company's account as payment for some goods. Seeing the amount inside the main account (not just ledger, but already confirmed inside main account), his company shipped out the goods to find that the payment had been reversed the next day. The bank also did not bother to inform them about it and when he called to check, the bank said the transferror had 24hrs to change their mind and it was not their fault.

Lol it's my first time hearing that and really scared me.

Having such an option to reverse a transaction might be dangerous for people who meet up to buy/sell things and transfer payment on the spot haha.

I could be wrong but maybe for business banking accounts... the funds are actually still kept in escrow? That's why the 24hrs to change their mind.

I also like the pay bills feature on iBanking. No longer will we need to head down to a AXS machine just to pay telephone/internet bills. Thru iBanking i can add all the bills that i have to pay, and even set a specific date for the money to be withdrawn out to pay for a bill.

Lol there is AXS app and AXS online also

I can understand for adding payee in case someone breach into the account (since no need otp to login for DBS), and they want to add their own bank account to transfer out all the monies, the OTP will authenticate that. But the Other China Bank Company need OTP for login, add payee must use otp again wth...some times i want to just rage quite using their ibanking lol

For this week’s challenge - name ONE iBanking function you’ve just discovered and how you’re going to use it. Let’s get the conversation rolling and start winning points!

I just discovered I am able to topup Cashline via DBS iBanking. This is a great feature as I can issue the cheque from my excess fund in my Cashline account.

Think this level of security is necessary. In case people manage to hack into my ibanking, they cannot send out money.

That’s right, you can bank with ease and access functions through iBanking:

• Make payment for Utilities Bills, Insurance and Telco services
• Transfer funds to another bank instantly and for free
• Send money to China, India, the Philippines, Indonesia, Hong Kong and UK at $0
• Pay all your bills at one go through the post-dated bill payment feature

Really send money overseas is free? No charge on receivers end?
