I was also told 1 day which technically it is correct.

It was also done, for me, within a day, at the specified date.

And yes, the main issue that can cause delay is the liaising between this 3 parties.

For me, days before the date for the take over, I had to made & receive countless phone call from them, mainly MR. A huge hassle.

Thanks for both your sharing. Having been with MR before, and with VQ for the past few years, and now with MR again.. I can share your thoughts on which side's customer service is SO MUCH better.

VQ can be coordinating this fiber takeover for me. On a weekend on Sunday. Really kudos to their service standards.

Viewqwest questions

Hi Viewqwest,
I have just subscribed for your 2G plan on IT show and I need to start the contract on May instead of April. I have some questions to ask :

1. Currently at my apartment I am going to rent on May does have an existing ISP and your technical support do ask me to activate another port on TP to allow VQ installations. I wonder how long does it take for this process nowadays because I look for this problem and ppl say they have to wait like 2 or 3 months :s22:.
2. Can the port activation be done on weekends and how long does it take to complete it ? Any extra fees included ?
3. For the VQ installations, can it be done on weekends also ?
Thank you.

Sorry guys, I borrowed this thread as it is a VQ customized product, if you want to have players in different rooms, you may think about getting a second one.

I don't use any Android stuff so this player is totally useless to me.

PM me if interested

Based on VQ IT Show 2016 - Service Application and Agreement Form,
2. Terms of Service - Installation of connectivity
(e) There are no weekend installations available.

Just to point out, I don't encourage this & also the fact that the unit is actually worth $188 for a brand new one unless it comes with the FVPN built in.

better than keeping it in storage room right? someone may need more than one player in their house.

Hi, it`s best if we take this conversation private. Would you be able to call us in daytime at 67238100 so that we can discuss the matter?

I asked this question on Sunday at the show, and I'm not convinced the guy who'd attended to me knew what he was talking about :o

Anyways, I asked about the 4K box ... I understand that it is Android-based. Thing is, I'm signing up for a new Internet plan for my new home, and I'm pretty much confirmed to be buying either an LG OLED TV or a Sony 4K Android TV for my new home. Both of these types of TVs have Android-based OSes.

What I want to know is, is there any point to pay for this 4K box and take up 1 HDMI port when the TV itself is Android-based?

If you're comfortable with trying to get your AndroidTV-based(Meaning not Tablet or Phone based) apps, then by all means go ahead.

Do note that you might have to source for the Geo Restricted apps yourself thou..(Via google/aptoide :) )

Of course the TV has to be able to install apk files directly also as a requirement(Some TV lock it and have their own store, so I leave it to you to double confirm if your TV can do so)

Thanks for the reply. No, I do not know about geo-restricted apps or installing apk files ... I'm actually an Apple person :s34:

Just so there's no misunderstanding ... I actually signed up at the SLS booth last Sep, right after getting my keys to my new place ... and then my baby was born a few days later, and despite our ages we are 1st time parents and we weren't coping so well, and we put off our renovation and in turn putting off the activation again and again until it was almost 3 months and your customer service said y'all would void the sign-up and asked me to sign up again at the next show (Dec, which I didn't because we still didn't have a firm move-in date). We finally worked out the renovation details in Feb and work started end-Feb to be completed early-Apr ... which is why I told your guy at the show we're looking to move in mid-Apr.

I'm actually looking to be convinced that I should buy this 4K box ... I mean, it seems many of your subscribers in here bought it, and I'm sure some of you here are using the latest model TVs as well so I'm trying to find out what it is this 4K box has over using your TV's built-in Android system.

So ... yeah ... appreciate it if 4K box users (especially if you're using it with 1 of these newer Android-based TVs) can advise.
