Hi guys - update:

The issue was caused by a loop caused by one of our customers - this triggered our loop protection to kick in which affected connectivity for some of the exchanges. We've fixed the original issue by isolating the customer but now we need to access the exchanges in order to restore connectivity to everyone affected - as per NLTs policy we need to wait 1H before we can access.

Estimated ETA is 11:30pm.

Some of the exchanges?

It seens to me the whole of sg is down. :s13:

My previous down time lasted 3 days. I had to take leave for their technician to come and take signal readings.

The technician left after taking the measurements. Signal was way too weak.

My connection somehow went up after that. I am quite positive VQ didn't check their end beforehand. I wasted 1/2 day leave for this crap. VQ and NLT should make sure everything is OK on their part before checking on their customers.

Every isp has its downtime but at least i dont have to keep calling.

Well, we get timely update on hwz.. Save me the troubLe of calling technical support.

I went for VQ In 2014 ago because they are touted to offer premium internet service.

In the first few months, it was good, but since early 2015, the service started drifting downwards and before long, it was that frequent downtime every now and then that I don't see that much with starhub ( I am paying for my parent's Internet and they will kpkb to me if there is outage )

VQ, I am paying almost $75/mth for 1gbps + freedom vpn and this is not the kind of service I am expecting.

HUH - one customer bring down everyone connection.....

Think something clearly went wrong here - can promise you that we'll absolutely be looking into how this could have happened and make sure it doesn't happen again.

Update on situation: Orchard & East exchanges are back up. Bedok, Tampines & AMK exchanges still affected.

Bro. You no need to keep calling because your call can't even get through. Their hotline is on their network. Not land line. When network down. Hotline down.

So VQ when will the connection be back up?
12pm ?? Since access @11.30... How much longer after access to NLT...

Horrible customer experience we having here

Fantastic. Well done VQ. One customer can trigger your system to go down.

So this is your so called resilant network?

For the next outage, maybe you can tell us that someone reset their modem and trigger a reset for your servers and cause islandwide outage?

This kind of excuse you also dare tell us? Shame on you

Yea, they are on ip phone. No point calling.. I have learned my lesson on past experience with VQ.

Lol probably caused by hardware failure without investing enough for redundancy.

- Cut cost for hardware
- Engaged in ISP price wars
- Avoids customers during downtime deliberately

Contract over, go back to stinktel liao. Why?

- If got exchange issue, ST own NLT so no need wait 1 hour
- Still pay same price as VQ (and I'm on chop carrot $65 1Gb VQ)
- Even if got downtime, I can still kpkb at an **** over 1688 24/7/365 hotline
- It doesn't seem that bad if you choose their Unlimited plan which has less/little/no throttling

I will move out vq in 3 months.... had enough of their frequent downtime, slow upload speed, unstable connection...

Viewqwest is out to suck your blood dry la.

The previous 1 week downtime, they didn't even offer any kind of compensation for their affected customers.
