Aiyo, on the last scene on the bench forest was recounting his life so reference in the past tense... In earlier part of movie, it is 'is' as it was referring to his present on ongoing life.

tlkchew, hummm I'm not that sure, because I'm wondering, how times he had this line in the movie "My mama always said, life IS like a box of chocolate"?

As for "is" vs "was", even the AMDK say it's weird to use "was" instead of "is".

Plus, I clearly remembered Forrest Gump used "is" when I watched this movie. :s8:

this is stupid. i've read/seen pics of narwhal in 80s. they're just never featured on media. thought they went extinct or something, turns out is no issue, so no reason to be on news.

and the loony tunes is always loony tunes. there was a spin off similar to loony tunes but all younger characters, think is called something toons.

forest gump i did heard it as "is", but tom hanks never said it clearly. i heard as life's like a box..., even that clip i hear it as life's, until i turn the volume up and focus on that part. his accent's still really strong to make out a w

nope. everything is as it is. the guy didn't play with those anatomy training kit where you get to take in/out everything and study.

What you said in the first line is something like we all along heard about Chinese Dragon since the old days but we haven't seen one yet. But you know what's the weird thing? It suddenly pops out as if it's a common thing, like the normal whales we see, the normal rhino we know? And weirdest of all, I've only heard about protecting Elephant of their ivory and Rhino horn, but I've never ever come across Narwhal tusk? You can check the news on another thread, post #9:

Is there a large land mass west of Australia in a parallel world? That part shown in the video is where MH370 disappeared in our world....

The phrase "Life is like a box of chocolate" is famous for Forrest Gump and it is adopted from the scene where he was sitting on the park bench with a lady.

I seen the movie at least 8 times.

So, it is not the usage of english language here.

You cannot traced back to what you had if you have bought the movie DVD previously as it is changed to "was" magically. (TS would have understood what I am saying.)

The more obvious one in the movie would be:

Darth Vadar to Luke Skywalker
- "Luke, I am your father"
to "No, I am your father"

This is also another classic phrase in the movie that many people made fun of.

So, we are in a situation where every one may come from a different time line or dimension so every one is right according to their memory along their time line.

In this case, we may have two group with two distinct collective memory.
