This is my recently revised antenna. The only difference is that I used a bigger plank to cover the entire length of the ends, otherwise they might get bent upon being disturbed, such as cleaning.

Can buy this plank at Daiso, $2.

Cool antenna, 1 question though. What this that connector in the middle that connects all the wires together? Where to get it and how much?

Sorry for the ignorance here but I am planning to get a Samsung Ku6000 smart TV for my new place.

To get the free to air digital channels am i right that I need to get a active or passive antenna like the one from akira or funke sold at courts or NTUC? My new place has a starhub point, can I just connect to it from the TV to get the digital channels? According to the specs this TV has a DVB-T2C tuner.

Appreciate any advice for the best solution and tips.

Thanks.

If the TV really come with DVB-C tuner then just connect to SH SCV port and select the correct source on TV. Whether there is a need to purchase any antenna, be it passive or active, can be decided later.

Can DVB-T2C perform the same function as a DVB-C tuner? thanks

There is no DVB-T2C tuner, it either DVB-T2 or DVB-C. Most Digital TV (DTV) would have the former whilst there DTV model which have both tuners but cost more.

Yes, in fact I'm using this on my STB. Hmm, 10 buck seem kind of expensive given that most sellers bundle this for additional $1-2 only.

As stated before, most external passive antenna would work as long as there is good signal coverage in your area.

If I were you and getting that TV model you mentioned, I would try out the DVB-C tuner first. Can always email the manufacturer to verify if it indeed have both tuners.

Anyone knows where to purchase F-type coaxial cable, around 70cm to 1m long?

Sim Lim Square or Tower will have? For using with TV DVB-T2 antenna.

DIY DVB-T2 antenna. It works!

Anyone knows does this work in Singapore? Its less than 3$ from ebay, and a few dollars for the co axial.
I refer to the DIY on yYouTube.

i guess iI'm not very clever, could the person who posted the pic kindly post a link to buy your balun for your antenna with feelers

Just buy a balun transformer and enough length of coaxial cable. The 2 strands of wire can be replaced by insulated one of about 20cm each. Strip about 1cm at one end and screw it to the balun will do.

You may also make the paper binder antenna, check up youtube.
