Starhub cable point is not carrying the free to air HD channels from MediaCorp. So you need to buy a UHF antenna to receive the DVB-T2 signals.

Not true, in order to receive FTA channels from SH SCV point, the TV set or STB must have DVB-C tuner built-in.

I don't see a RF Out for this combo box, so must turn on this box to watch TV through HDMI input.

Of course lah. If your TV does not know how to decode DVB-C signals, then this box will of course have to be turned on to decode the DVB-C signals and then send them through HDMI to the TV lah.

That's what the SingTel and StarHub set top boxes are doing to send the signals to the TV too what. Via HDMI, or the lower quality Component/Composite video.

Ang Mo Kio Hub Fairprice Extra has this funke 5.1 at $59 each and every funke has an amplifier. Search Funke combo 5.1 and sure can see a pdf file about it. They can even filter out LTE signal for you. Maximum range is 40km. As long as your area is green and you put antenna near window or on window grille you should be able to receive clear image. Tv must be DVB-T2 ready. If landed house then use rooftop antenna sure can.

Anyone saw either Funke Home or Combo at NTUC recently? I couldn't find it at NTUC Nex.

was recommended by the salesman at Courts to get the Daiyo EU1702 over Funke Combo. Using Daiyo EU1702 now, no problem.

Does the funke combo 5.1 come with cables to plug and play to a TV? Thank you.

Yes. You can also use your own RG6 Quad-Shielded Low-Loss Coaxial Cable from Belden or if you need a longer coaxial cable connected to the Funke Combo 5.1.

Not all cables are created equal. Signal loss is crucial to high-frequency signals such as those most HDTV broadcast. These cables are rated at 75 ohms and offer a larger insulating dielectric than regular coaxial cable to ensure a best possible picture every time.

Hi, bought Funke 5.1. Plugged in and scanned. No channels received. Manual scanning shows various channel Signal strength above 70% but signal quality 0%. In Punggol. 2016 Panasonic listed in mda website as certified digital TV.

Anyone facing same issue or have any advice? Thanks!

DIY one. This works! Use a longer co-axial cable since it's 5m away from window.
The black device in the yellow circle is the balun transformer.

Anyone knows does this work in Singapore? Its less than 3$ from ebay, and a few dollars for the co axial.
I refer to the DIY on yYouTube.

i guess iI'm not very clever, could the person who posted the pic kindly post a link to buy your balun for your antenna with feelers

Ok guys, i been 2 months since I have the idea and finally got the time to get this done.

Did this in the DB where the the antenna input came from outside the flat and split to all the rooms. Open the box, disconnect the input cable. Then connect the digital antenna to the input port like the above photo.

Above is a closeup of the new connection.

Everything is done! At all the TVs, I still use the normal antenna cables from the wall to the TV. Just go into settings to switch to Digital signal and rescan for the HD digital channels. I am able to get digital HD signal in all the TVs in all the rooms. All my TVs have digital tuner built in. But I suppose it will work with set-top boxes.

With this setup I'm able to get 100% on Quality and between 60%-70% on signal strength. Guess is due to the placement of the antenna. But even with these figures, no problem watching all the channels. Will continue monitoring and update if there's problem.

I see there are 2 benefits with this setup:
1) No need to buy extra antennas for each TV, thus cost savings
2) Aesthetically pleasing, since no need to put any external antenna in each room near windows or TV

And lastly guess which digital antenna did I use?

A cheap pigtail one free from a friend

Just want to share my experience. Any thoughts? Happy tweaking!

I am considering the same path, and im thinking of diy the antenna and wire it up to the enclosure to make it one hugeass antenna. Thanks for proving this could work.
