Currently monitoring my AirPods for any draining issue. Will let you all know tomorrow. So far lost 5-6% overnight so I am not sure if it is considered bad as the AirPods' case battery is not really big.

Drained the airpods(without case) completely and monitored the case after it had charged the airpods back to 100. Case dropped from 27% to 26% over 5hours. So, nothing to worry for me. Was going to use it temporarily until BeatsX came out but I think I prefer the "truly wireless" route. I have a pair of QC35s now for entertainment purposes and AirPods for on-the-fly

My bro got one set. I feel the sound isolation is so so but it is so light. I hope I can get a pair from shop next week. China is going to have holiday so factory may have shutdown. Likely to have delay

Just got them.

Incredibly quick and easy to link, took about 2 seconds, very impressive, the magic of W1 chip, supposedly the most reliable Bluetooth ever.

Sound quality is decent but not fantastic. Fitted to the ears very well. Now AirPods are seamlessly connected to all my Apple devices.

For the convenience, certainly worth the price. Hopefully they will last, my previous two Bluetooth earbuds by Plantronics and Jabra were good but did not last very long, they weren't exactly cheap either.

Im using Jaybird x2

Will you give that up for these?

I have never used Jaybird x2, so can't really compare. But if you want seamless connection, AirPods would be perfect. I don't worry so much about losing them but more about how long they will last. But being Apple products, quality and realiability should be solid.

If you have iWatch, you can control music funtons easily from the iWatch rather than double tap for Siri. I am sure there are a lot of other features I need to explore.

Have used both. Funny thing is that, my X2 had powering on issue so Jaybird refunded me full price after using it for a month. Audio seems about equal with AirPods more clearer highs and X2 with SLIGHTLY more bass. I would totally give it up for the AirPods because the battery is longer (with case) and also, having no wires is amazing. Not to forget, the mic quality on the AirPods totally destroy the mic on the X2. Many people can't tell that I am using a headset mic with the Airpods during a call.

http://www.macrumors.com/2016/12/30/airpods-increasing-production/

AirPods manufacturer Inventec is planning to expand production capacity for the wireless headphones in the wake of high consumer demand during the holiday season. In a new report by China's Economic Daily News (via DigiTimes), the supplier is rumored to have begun expanding capacity in a few of its Shanghai plants.

of course if you can/can't wait.
