Question.

If a sim is $0 and inactive.
Top up $20 (active for 20 days).
Subscribed to $20 data plan for 30 days.
On day 21, can the data still be used till day 30?

in general, no.

telcos in malaysia are using active period to guarantee a steady stream of prepaid revenue.

but there are some exceptions, e.g. bugs, over-generous underdog telcos.

Once your card goes into its grace period, you can only receive calls and SMS, regardless if you've a data plan that's still active.

i went back a few pages and saw this post bro boonkang posted...

need to go read the terms and conditions...
It's advisable to read all the T&Cs of offers if you don't want to be caught in a situation. Even for the RM1 thingy; the onus is upon yourself to keep abreast of the updates, coz they won't inform you if they take it away.

The last time i used my celcom blue on the NS highway, data was okay....

except some ulu stretech dropped down to Edge..... but quickly went back to 3.5G. I was using a S5 plus that time

Hotlink FAST on NS highway was totally okay for me. Traveled ata 6am on the NS highway, data stable, travel back at 10pm 2 days later, data also stable. not using Note 4.

Previously I use U Mobile. Most of North-South Highway got bad Data.
Inconsistent, drop, cannot connect to network.

Oh. When I register the Xpax App, they sent an activation code to the SIM card.
After activation, I checked that my balance dropped, from the RM$6 to RM$5.85.
And my usage got 1 SMS sent out.

Is this the way? I don't think they should do that.
Obviously u did not send any SMS.
Just to let those who will be getting Xpax and use the App.

Cos RM$6 can activate 2 days of 1GB/$3/day.

thanks for the feedback on xpax.

heard from a lot of postpaid users in malaysia that celcom stinks. celcom barred their lines and yet continued to bill them in full.

if we must use celcom, stay away from its app then.
