haha.. well said.. i guess you know some thing about the law..

TS seem to be wary and paranoid of the dealer... but having say that... he cannot deny the dealer a chance to resolve the issue.. having engaged your own workshop for the repair.. TS has already lost the chance to seek resolution from the dealer...

in fact.. TS may face a lawsuit for damaging their reputation.. and TS stand a very high chance to lose against them..

I strongly advise TS not to be self-entitled and think that the world should revolve according to what he think... there are law and rules.. need to know how to play the game well...

Good Luck TS.
My experience with them is not fabricated as I have everything available to proof all that I have said.

Thanks for all your replies. Some very valid questions and advise against pursuing this further.

I guess I have no choice but to accept this as bad luck on my part.

Thanks again.

U expect someone to 100% check the car for you.. when you yourself dont?

and to add on... my car was bought from classic credit 6 years ago. until now no major problems.

Aiya.. buy 2nd car not dependant on the branding of the dealer la. Sometimes they also dunno got problem or no problem De.

Importantly is when such things happen.. dealer must be forthcoming to render assistance to ratify the issue. Not Siam here and there.

Sorry to rub salt. If wanna buy 2nd hand car, safest is to buy Toyota or Honda. Repair cost will be lower if needed. And don't buy sports 2nd hand car or those car that come with modified lowered suspension or strut ba etc etc... U may thought u get a good deal... The ironic thing is that the previous owner must have tortured the car alot laio and now half dead.. that's why they are selling...

i bet to differ, people who modded their car may maintain their car way better than those stock car. its those heavily dekitted one which one need to look out for.

One can buy any car, except a French made car. Remember this golden rule. There's good reason why you rarely see Renault cars on the road. They are irreparable.

Yes and No, when selling, the owner will usually let nature take it cause, logically.

To TS, buying second hand car, unless like those 1 to 2 yr car, you still have chance not to repairing or change part, as wear and tear... if more than 3 yr car, you say lei?

Usually when they ask you go back to their workshop is to cover up any potential and existing problems. They probably good only for an oil change..
