Just bought mine today.

For those who haven't committed, GE is ending it early. Tomorrow to be specific.

Ps. I am not an agent.
Would that be ending on Saturday 23 September or Sunday 24 September?

those that did managed to sign up, did you choose to withdraw the interest yearly or accumulate?
those that chose to accumulate did you check past years to see if GE have achieved their bonus targets?
i believe the accumulate option yield is non guaranteed?

this one is non-participating, so it's not tagged to their bonus targets/profits etc. I believe.

it's just like a fixed deposit + insurance cover combined into one. however there is penalty for early withdrawal... not very heavy penalty, around 5% I think. didn't pay attention to the BI but you can ask the agent to show you the details.

Ehhh guys, my agent is promoting the Great205 to me. Say limited time.
Great Eastern offered that deal ("GREAT205") this past September (2017), and it was fully subscribed within a few days. I'm not aware of Great Eastern reopening that offer, but if they are reopening GREAT205 it'll likely be popular.

On edit: Yes, it's reopening. This blog article has more details (link to the same article). I agree with the article that this is an interesting way to invest SRS funds if you're currently in a high tax bracket and expect to be retiring (age 62+) and in a low or zero tax bracket in a couple years. It's also a reasonable vehicle if you expect to have a major expense in about 3 years, such as a child's university tuition.
