backup on android to cloud & restore from backup on iphone. it'll prompt u when u login the 1st time on the new iphone.

Android backup to google drive, iPhone backup/restore from iCloud :(

Hi, apologies if this has been brought up but I tried to do a search in this forum and nothing came up. I am not exactly sure that the information I Googled are trustworthy either.

I am an Android user and I am thinking of trying out the iPhone X. However, I need to transfer my Whatsapp messages, particularly work related ones, over. Is there any workable way to do that? I don't mind paying a small fee for an app / program to do so.

Many thanks in advance for any assistance rendered. :)

Use backup trans software. Cost about $30-$40. Works like magic

But take note that the software only allows for a fixed number of android/iphones that can be used per license of the software, so also cannot keep switching back and forth (using different android and iphones).

Migrating WA chat history from iphone to android is easier and there is a free way of doing so.

Many thanks!

sure bro!

https://www.wazzapmigrator.com/#transfer-backup

In a nutshell

1) extract ChatStorage.sqlite from backup created via iTunes
2) Install Wazaapmigrator in your android phone
3) transfer ChatStorage.sqlite into your android phone. If you want to transfer media files as well, you need the paid version of Wazzapmigrator
4) Open Wazzapmigrator, follow the instructions on the app and its done, there will be a local Whatsapp backup file in your android phone.
5) Install Whatsapp on your android phone. Verify phone number, it will detect the backup file and restore chat history.

Hope this helps. Website above has more details. Enjoy :)

I wrote to the app developer and asked them if they have another app that does the opposite direction but sadly the answer is NO :(

Hope Apple can implement “Always on display” and dark mode option on its iPhone X via software update perhaps in iOS 11.2 in the future, it will be good if they can do it, since it’s software related.

LG and Android have had Always On Display for years, but it is only with the upcoming Pixel 2 phones that Google finally decided to implement it (and even then, this is only a rumour for now until it's officially announced next week).

Think it's better to keep your hopes low. Haha

Thou with OLED screens, you’ll worry about screen burn in with always on display
