Dihua cny bazaar is at night then have right? Afternoon is those herbs shops?

the bazaar starts at 10 or 11am. just walk up and down the street and your stomach will be full cos' of the free samples. haha... usually starts 2 weeks before cny and stops on cny eve.

the world trade center next to 101 will also have CNY expo selling cny goodies. Can check it out too.

Ya I remember 2-3 years ago I went and tested so many dried fruits and vegetables..haha..

The world trade center cny expo I also went before..got free wine sampling also..and got sell 乌鱼子 as well but don't know what's that.

weekdays are ok, not so crowded. there are also food shops along the street, like the oyster egg, kidney mee sua, dessert shops.

The kidney mee sua is the 麻油 one right..saw it on Google Street view..

I tried to book but there is credit card processing fee of 140 for 7 pax. I thought there is axs payment. How to search for that method? Anyone can advise?

Acceptable.
Can book if it is 185 for return.

day 2: wu lai day trip/ shopping from evening onwards (need recommendations)

day 3: mao kong/ taipei zoo (if time permits)/ elephant mountain/ tong hua night market

day 4: shifen/ jiu fen tour with klook/ mala hotpot at xmd at night

day 5: kee lung/ miao kou night market/ rao he/ wufen pu

day 6: last min shopping before arvo flight

Time to leave will be best after 3rd round of lantern release.

Hi Calkel, thanks for your concerns but my friend has this madness about fireworks and insist to go for the Feng pao. Guessed we will have to prep ourself well n cover up 101%. Would you know if they sell the jacket, helmet, towel, tape etc there?

For Pingxi lantern, is there a queue or holding area we have to stay throughout till the event starts? Or we could secure a slot already then move around the places? eg. Shi fen, jiu fen etc.

Hardly will bring new stuff there to be destroyed.
