Mine is the same as @Sim Kai Long, except that my CSC is XSP. Everything else is the same as him.

Unable to update to RF4.

Tried OTA and Smart Switch PC for several days now, but still could not get the phone to update to RF4.

Last resort is to flash via ODIN if after a few more days of trying OTA and Smart Switch PC and the phone is still not updated.

XSP is generic samsung firmware without any telco apps. you change to SIN also no difference..

Oh well. I didn't really know what each code meant last time. So i just swap back to the default one that I had which was SIN (mine is a Singtel set)

Edit: In any case, I've updated via the Odin method liaos. lazy to wait

Wah as I thought I'm not sure why but your FW is mismatched

Your AP and CSC should be
AP N950FXXU3CRC2
CSC N950FOXM3CRC2

The result of changing csc to pull update from different country. Only a certain few country grouped together will have the same firmware.

If you had changed to other country csc to pull their oreo update, their oreo and our own sg oreo is different in some sense. Hence the different is either the main os, modem or bootloader firmware. For hes case, even he changed back to xsp also no use, cause the other parts maybe like modem or bootloader is already different from the last sg oreo patch.

He can try to download latest sg oreo firmware and use odin to flash it. But bewarn, all data should be lost and theres always the chance of failed flash.

I would guess so. TK you have no other choice but to flash via Odin yourself now. Your CSC changing has led your device to have updated to a another's country version thus you will never get an update as long as they are mismatched.

Maybe next time, try not to do these things and actually wait for the official update. There is literally little to no difference between the update and you are not getting a MAJOR boost in performance like iOS 12

Looks like I have to go through ODIN......

Just to confirm..... is this the correct June 2018 Singapore firmware?

https://www.sammobile.com/firmwares/galaxy-note8/SM-N950F/XSP/download/N950FXXU3CRF4/223709/

That firmware from the link is correct. Original xsp oreo june patch.

Edit: if you had not used odin for flashing before. Please take note of the whole process. Read up on where which file should be placed at in odin, which option should be ticked/unticked, the software/drivers needed for your pc and the whole process. Anything not followed might lead to soft brick of your device.

Make sure u clear cache also if u still got issue.

As far as I know, all the oreo updates that are affected by WiFi issue are all self tested locally before release. Let's hope the infamous wifi issue is elimininated..

Just wiped system cache by pressing down the bixby button and volume button up in the menu that appears.

Lets see how it goes from now on

Thanks for the heads up renfred.
