CN ROM is good .... no troubles from Google play services app & other Google nonsense.

Flash already sure cannot sleep well at night one..

Your redmi 6 series phones is it have very intrusive ads dished out by Mi UI? Today saw one well known YouTuber complaining about this phenomenon on his YouTube channel. He seems like quite pissed off..

Seems like MIUI 10 global stable rom released. Would the China ROM or Global ROM be better?

Just gotten the redmi 6 global (as a spare phone) with MIUI 10 global. Coming from a LG user and first time XM user. I notice there is no apps drawer but i could live with it.

There are lots of themes to choose and i realised almost all not compatible with MIUI 10 (mostly meant for MIUI 9). Basically all the themes that i wanted to download got the "not compatible" message. Anyway its hit and miss. Some no issues and some alignment went off.

The face unlock was pretty cool. As a spare phone. No much expectation.

Tks for the tips. After fiddling with this phone for a while, guess the apps drawer is not so impt to me after all.

Using the default launcher. I also notice 2 minor things
- cant arrange the apps icon by date of download/alphabetical order
- cant loop back to the home screen
But again as a first time user, i could have missed it

2GB is the RAM lah .... with 16GB or 32GB ROM.
Do note that after Android version 5.0 Lollipop i.e. from version 6 or Marshmallow onwards, you are not able to move apps from the device's internal storage to the external storage anymore. So, it depends on your usage requirements lah.

I used the promo for zaobao subscription plan where i need to pay just $95 for this phone. Downside is contract 3 yrs. Anyway not an issue to me coz i subscribed to both ST and ZB for years but didnt utilise their promo until recently
