Asian TV Go was in Google Play store before. Now it is not in my Huawei P20 Google Play Store. But you can still Google for it.

Anyway it will no longer be able to stream local channels any more because of recent changes in Toggle.

So use Toggle if you are in Singapore or use VPN and Toggle if you are not in Singapore. It is not designed for TV box so better to use ChromeCast.

thanks for the info

Tried. Still can't work.
Can work on Google Chromecast though.
Only YouTube can cast successfully to Mibox S.
have been seeing that you are facing chromecast issues.. from the looks of it, it's either you kena lemon set or home network/wireless setup issues. are you able to do screen mirroring to your mibox?

Try to factory reset your Mi Box S to see if that helps.

Other than YouTube, there are many apps which supports Chromecast, you can try them to see if they work. For example, SingTel TV Go, SingTel Cast and Starhub Go. They have free sections for you to try. This helps to check if the problem is specific to Toggle or not.

Try different mobile phones as well. Maybe the problem lies with your phone.

Basically others have reported that Toggle is okay with Mi Box S Chromecast function and you are the exception. So you have to troubleshoot the problem, step by step.

Noob question here.

Anybody tried installing Toggle, Singtel TV Go or Starhub Go app on the Mibox S?

Does it work?

BTW, reports say you can install SingTel TV Go and SingTel Cast on Mi Box S itself and they work. Of course you can also cast from phone.

For Toggle and Starhub Go, you will not be able to install the app on the Mi Box S but you can cast from phone.

I do not have Mi Box S myself but I have 1st gen Google Chromecast dongle and I tested Toggle, SingTel TV Go, SingTel Cast and Starhub Go with Chromecast using my Android and iPhone, they all work fine.

Singtel TV Go is one of the options offered during the setup.
Me thinks that the built-in Chromecast version is too outdated to cast any other apps apart from YouTube.

I have tried to cast Toggle, Starhub Go TV, Viu, TVB without success.

Factory reset also no use.

Firmware is up to date but no way of force-updating the Google Cast to new version. Only option available is to rollback updates for Google Cast.

I have also tried to cast from different devices, Huawei Mate 10 Pro, Samsung Note 9, iPad and iPhone 8 Plus using different apps with the same outcome.

Yup. It's Google Play store, right?

then you can update chromecast/google cast using mibox's playstore.

don't understand why are you facing problem doing chromecast, may be you should describe in details - step by step - how did you do your chromecast from toggle to mibox.

Same way as I cast successfully from YouTube.
I will just start my app like Toggle or Starhub Go TV, then play the video I wanted on my phones first before I tap on the Cast icon on the top right of my screen.
I will be given a choice of casting to my Chromecast or Mibox S.
When I select the Mibox S I will see the Toggle logo on the TV connected to Mibox S and it will be stuck there with no image no sound.
When I repeat the process and chooses Chromecast, the TV connected to Chromecast will start playing the video after a 5 to 10 sec wait.

Looks like you have a faulty Mi Box S.

Stiil it could be wireless network issue as well, try run SpeedTest from your Mi Box S to see if you have network connection problem. For typical Singapore ISP speed of 500Mpbs/1Gbps, you should get above 100Mbps speed from 5GHz band against the preferred SpeedTest server as long as your Mi Box S is not too far away from the wireless router.

One more thing to try is to remove your Chromecast dongle to see if that helps. This may not help but just want to rule out one possible cause.

I tried removing my chromecast from the network and outcome is still the same.

I even swapped places between the Mibox S and Chromecast to see if it is TV issue or WiFi issue.

Chromecast works no matter where or what. Mibox S outcome still the same.

for toggle, I think its developers don't do a good job. if using your way, cannot chromecast.

but if you turn on chromecast immediately after launching toggle at its main page, you will be able to chromecast automatically once any video is clicked.
